Our home is available for a "Hospitality Exchange" with guest points. You will have the master bedroom (queen bed) with a private bathroom with a shower. You will also have the option to use the two kids rooms as well. One has a twin loft bed and the other has two twin bunk beds. The rest of the house you will share with us. You can use our kitchen or we would be more than happy to include you in our meals. We will give you as much privacy as we can, however, we would be happy to spend some time with you if you want to! If you would like a local tour guide we would enjoy showing you around or giving you ideas and tips to do so on your own. Our comfortable home is just what you are looking for in a Central Missouri stay. Located in a beautiful neighborhood in Boonville, we are minutes away from historic downtown and the mighty Missouri River. Our house was built in the 1960's but we have been remodeling it to make it more up to date and comfortable. Our area is known for The Katy Trail and the Katy Bridge. The trail, built on the former corridor of the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad (MKT or Katy), is 240 miles long and runs between Clinton and Machens (this is across most of the state of Missouri!) with 26 trailheads and four fully restored railroad depots along the way. Boonville boasts a wonderful FREE Visitor Center/Museum and Railroad Car along with several different access points to the trail itself and also the great Katy Bridge. This bridge is no longer fully functional, but has been turned into a beautiful overlook above the powerful waters of the Missouri River. Bike rentals are available in Boonville and nearby Rocheport during the summer months. Walking the Katy trail is always enjoyable as well. If you love animals we recommend visiting Warm Springs Ranch. It is a breeding farm for the Budweiser Clydesdales, resting on 300 plus acres of lush rolling hills in the heart of Missouri. It's home to more than 70 Clydesdales ranging from foals to stallions. They offer guided walking tours or private VIP tours. Make sure to check with them on the tour options for the duration of your stay ahead of time as they fill up quickly. Our home is very well equipped for a family, couple or individual. We have a complete kitchen fully stocked with dishes, and cooking equipment to make great meals in house. Our living room has a couch, chairs and side tables and a wood stove supplied with all the wood you need to keep warm (or you can also use our central heat and air). We do not have cable tv. We have one flat screen tv in the master bedroom with Roku. You can cast from your cell phone or use a remote to watch YouTube, the Roku Channel or we also have a DVD/VHS player as well with a selection of DVD/VHS available for you to watch. We have three bedrooms all on the main level. Master bedroom has a fully adjustable queen bed along with a private bathroom with a toilet, sink and shower. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with two twin mattresses. The third bedroom has a twin loft bed. There are ceiling fans in each bedroom along with central air conditioning for the entire house. We also have a pack n play available to set up along with a highchair. In the hallway we have our second bathroom which has a toilet, sink and bathtub. Our laundry room is also located on the main level and has a washer and dryer along with a sink. We do also have a garage with striders (small kids bikes with no training wheels). Our small backyard has a swing set and slide for the kids, and an outdoor table for outside dining. Also a clothesline.

We love the location of our home! Pizza Hut and other Restaurants are just around the corner. Walmart is less than a 5 minute drive! A local grocery store that we also love is 5 minutes away, across from a donut shop. Interstate 70 is about 7 minutes away. As you can see we are very well located in the town of Boonville! Our neighborhood itself is a quiet residential street and perfect for a walk or bike ride. Its one mile loop has only one entrance meaning we only have local traffic. You will most likely see our neighbor kids riding their bikes, playing football and yelling out CAR to anyone in the street!! It's a very family-friendly neighborhood. One of our favorite things about our neighborhood is the fact that we can access a local park with hiking trails by walking down our road and hitting the trail! There are little creeks, hiking trails, two playgrounds and picnic areas as well as a one-mile paved road loop. Our town also has a really fun outdoor Aquatic center open during the summer months. This includes a regular pool as well as kid areas and a couple water slides. We also enjoy doing many Geo-Caches in the Boonville area. Twenty-five minutes to the northwest lies Arrow Rock, Missouri's very first state park. The park is a wonderful place to visit with picnic areas, playground, hiking trails, shopping, visitor center, historic buildings and the very popular Lyceum Theater. This town was the starting point for the Santa Fe trail, and Lewis and Clark's expedition mentions passing this point on their journey up the Missouri. Even though the town only has 50 residents they get an average of 100,000 people visiting annually. It's a must see! Are you interested in seeing an Amish/Mennonite store or possibly a horse and buggy? The small town of Tipton is only a 35 minute drive south of our house and the quaint Dutch Bakery and Bulk Food Store is a great place to visit while there. They have a fantastic deli in the store and we always make sure to get a sandwich the size of your head! (Okay not quite, but they are big and full of lots of meat and delicious!) If your interests lie in a bigger city we are only a 30 minute drive from the growing college metropolis of Columbia. Columbia has 120,000 residents and boasts live music, great parks (that are free!), fine dining, lots of shopping and countless other attractions. It's also home to the beautiful campuses of the University of Missouri and Stephens College. Mid-Missouri along the Missouri river is famous for vineyards. Rocheport is one place you will definitely want to visit if this is your thing. It's a 15 minute drive from our home on the way to Columbia. Les Bourgeouis is a winery with several dining options. The "A Frame" is located along the Katy Trail and has a gorgeous view from the bluffs overlooking the Missouri River. Les Bourgeouis also offers tours of their winery. Rocheport itself has many cute shops and the Katy Trail runs through it and has a beautiful stone tunnel that is a fun thing to walk or ride your bike through. You can bike directly to Rocheport from Boonville on the Katy Trail that will lead you right through the tunnel. It's a 12.4 mile bike ride one way. Kuddos to you if you are up for this! :) You can also drive to Rocheport and pick up the trail and bike or walk along the beautiful Missouri river and enjoy the views!
