Originally built in Vancouver (2 hrs away by ferry) in the 1930’s and well maintained, it has the feel of a character house and everyone who comes to visit falls in love. I would describe it as cozy and bright. There’s a big back deck and yard with a large cherry tree that sits on an acre of lush forest. Totally private, save my quiet, conscientious and lovely neighbour next door who is home half of the week. It’s on a main street, so minutes away from stores, many trails, town centre and tourist attractions on lovely Pender island and a five minute walk from Thieves Bay marina park, where you can sit on the wharf and take in the breathtaking sunsets as the ferries goes by. An increasingly popular Gulf Island, it is just 40 minutes away by ferry to our capital, Victoria, B.C. The Gulf Islands were rated amongst the 50 best places to visit in the world by the New York Times.
A quiet and friendly neighbourhood, there are many trails nearby to access as well as two ocean parks.
