Bio

Katia lives in Brussels and as an experienced exchanger, she’s really excited about spreading the word and raising awareness about home exchanging in the French-speaking countries. After studying translation, she’s been living and working for 6 years around the world (Florida, Egypt, Israel, Canada + 2 years working on board cruise ships, etc.). She settled back in Brussels in 2001 and since then, as a freelance worker and travel addict (or sedentary nomad, as she likes to call herself), she likes exchanging her home to live and work from different places around the world. She’s also passionate about the sharing economy in general and writes about it on her blog lanomadesedentaire.be (in French).

One amazing thing she has done

I missed the ship I was supposed to embark on in Guadeloupe for a 9 months contract. So I had to climb a rope ladder by night to board it to the 6th floor...

Why she loves HomeExchange.com

I love living as a local. Besides, as a freelancer, it gives me the opportunity to work from anywhere in the world, provided there is an internet connection.
