What you will love about this home

Peak House is located on the slopes just outside Kalkan town center, enjoying the stunning scenery of the Bay. It is an ideal holiday villa for couples, large families or groups of friends, staying together but would also appreciate some privacy. There are 3 en-suite bedrooms on the upper floor and an additional one on the ground, all of which are air-conditioned. Spacious living space, shaded veranda and the pool area offer a relaxing atmosphere enjoying the view. Fully renovated in 2019. There are great beach clubs such as Palm Beach in and around Kalkan whereas Patara Beach is one of the longest and finest beaches of whole Turkish Riviera is just 10 mins. by car. You can easily arrange a boat trip so that you may experience more natural location for swimming and enjoying the view. There are scuba clubs and various tour options organized by local agencies. Kalkan town center demonstrates an example of a small Mediterranean settlement of Greek and Turkish origin, established probably in 18th century around the fresh water source. Evolved from a simple dock to a small trading post sending goods such as sesame, olives, coal, lumber, almonds and spices, the historical town center of Kalkan possess around 40 listed examples of historical Mediterranean architecture. In some of them, you can find a couple of good cocktail bars and a number of high-quality restaurants serving local dishes as well as world cuisine. Kalkan is a central location for antique Lycian region composed of around 50 settlements including World Heritage sites of Patara, Xanthos and Letoon. If you are interested with archeology, you can easily reach to the most of them in within 15-45 mins drive. Furthermore, Lycian Way is an exciting historical network of pathways connecting these settlements, where you can experience various trekking paths of natural delights of the Mediterranean.

What you will love about this neighborhood

Kalkan is a district connected to Kaş, Antalya and have been one of the boutiqe villa holiday locations of Turkish Riviera and Kordere is a low density residential neighborhood, mostly composed of similar rental houses around. The neighborhood have been turned out to be one of the most popular holiday villa districts in the recent years, for its great scenery and peaceful atmosphere at the same time close proximity to all central facilities. You will probably need a vehicle during your stay, although there are grocery stores and small places to eat in walking distance. A supermarket and butcher is available in close proximity. Kalkan town center, Akbel town center, local markets, banks and petrol station are in reach of 5 minutes drive. Taxi service is available by phone throughout all Kalkan neighborhoods. It costs about 5 USD from Kalkan town center to the villa. It is also possible to walk but the slope makes it harder when coming back. Local minibus vehicles are also available near the villa, but they can be crowded in the high season.

My wife and I are both architects, and we bought and renovated the villa in 2019. It is not our primary house but it is basically a holiday villa that we rent as a summer retreat. We usually rent it to 5-10 guests a year and we also stay at the villa time to time particularly in winter. 150 USD is charged for cleaning and pool handling for each non-reciprocal exchange.
