Welcome to our century old farmhouse. A Craftman style home built in 1922, this four bedroom home is comfortable and inviting. Hardwood flooring and plaster walls with steamed oak trim are found throughout this two story family home. Sitting on an eight acre property with four acres of mixed Acadian forest and about four acres of field, bird song and crickets form the soundtrack in this rural getaway. As this is a primary residence for two children there are plenty of toys, games and books for any young people traveling with you. Our master bedroom has a king sized bed while two of the other bedrooms have a queen bed and one bedroom has a double bed. All bedrooms are on the second story as well a washroom with a stand up shower and jet tub. There is a partial bath on the first floor that contains a washer and dryer. We have a large covered deck on the front of the house, perfect for reading or just relaxing on a warm day.
Located in the heart of a rural community this house is within walking distance of a pharmacy, liquor store, hardware store, restaurant and small grocery store. Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic site is only a 15 minute drive away and offers hiking, swimming, canoe and kayak rentals, star gazing and camping. The closest ocean beach is about 45 minutes away. We live where people come for their vacation.
We are a family that homeschools and have a classroom, equipped with everything you would need for teaching a couple of students in the upper elementary grades. One of us also works from home and our fourth bedroom/office or the classroom would easily provide a great place office space if desired.
