What you will love about this home

This is one of the most beautiful places in the world, the gateway to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, and the location of the best skiing in the world. Our home is a six bedroom, five and a half bath family house situated on five acres just next to Grand Teton National Park and with easy access to the Snake River. Our house is situated in a private development just off the Snake River and convenient to the town of Jackson, the airport, and adjacent to Grand Teton National Park. The minimum lot size in our development is three acres, so privacy is assured. The main access road to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park is minutes away. The town of Jackson is ten minutes away, the town ski hill about ten minutes, and the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort a little over 30 minutes.

What you will love about this neighborhood

What's the difference between Jackson and Jackson Hole? Well, Jackson Hole is considered the entire 40x20 mile long valley. The town of Jackson lives at the southern end of Jackson Hole - where the infamous elk antler arches Town Square and the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar are. Jackson Hole Airport is in the south central part of the valley, and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is the summer and ski resort just above Teton Village. Back in the 1800s, fur trappers and mountain men exploring the area referred to any valley completely surrounded by mountains a "hole." That hole was then named after the person who discovered it - Davey Jackson in this case. Looking for moose, elk, mule deer, bison, wolves, foxes, bears or other animals? Jackson Hole has them and with any luck you will see them all. They have all been in our garden!! You never know when and where you might spot big game so keep your eyes open. Many wildlife expeditions can lead you to secret spots where you're sure to find that moose or bald eagle. Jackson, WY has our very own airport. The airport is located 10 miles north of town (very near the house) and has the distinction of being both the busiest airport in Wyoming and the only airport to be located in a National Park. The airport has invested $150M in renovations and remodels over the past four years. Airport Code is JAC. The list of activities is really quite endless. Skiing, paragliding, hiking, climbing, mountaineering, biking, fishing, rafting, horseback riding, gliding, and kayaking are just a few of the options. Wildlife and landscape photography, scenic drives, star gazing are other great outings. https://www.forbes.com/sites/christophersteiner/2018/11/28/the-top-10-ski-resorts-in-north-america-for-2019/#1c9630b15ec7 http://www.powderhounds.com/USA/Wyoming/JacksonHole.aspx https://www.jacksonhole.com/ https://www.nps.gov/grte/index.htm https://www.nationalparks.org/explore-parks/yellowstone-national-park
