We usually only do reciprocal exchanges, usually at the same time, but possibly trading different dates. Please no guest points at this time. Thanks.
Our home is located on one of the most charming streets in sunny Long Beach, our beautifully decorated Tudor cottage, with its open layout, is ideal for indoor-outdoor living. Our home features hardwood floors, relaxing colors, and designer furnishings. In the living room there is comfortable seating with large chairs, a sofa, smart TV with Netflix, Amazon prime, Hulu, and broadcast channels. The large bay window looks out to our front garden.
The dining room has an oval marble dining table with enough seating for eight. Window doors in the dining room open to the spacious, private deck in the backyard, where you can relax in front of the cozy stone fireplace. The spa (hot tub) is a relaxing place to unwind after a day sightseeing or after a workout.
Two bedrooms connect to a fully remodeled shared bathroom with tub/shower combo. The primary bedroom at rear has a plush king-sized bed and opens to the backyard, and the front bedroom has a memory foam queen bed and large window facing the garden.
The kitchen has stainless-steel appliances, espresso machine (or french press or a drip coffee maker if requested), instant pot, juicer, and food processor We love to cook, so our kitchen is well-outfitted for cooking meals.
The attached garage has been converted to an entertainment room with queen sofa sleeper, TV, mini-bar, and musical instruments (if desired). This room connects to the small bathroom off the kitchen and the backyard.
The upstairs loft/bedroom is light and airy. It provides space to do yoga, get work done, play games, do puzzles and crafts, or sleep (currently three twin beds are provided).
The California indoor-outdoor living style is the inspiration for our home. To us, our home feels like a vacation home all year.
Long Beach is one of the most culturally diverse cities in America. With half a million people, Long Beach is a big city close to Los Angeles and Orange County, yet each neighborhood has its own qualities and charms. Our neighborhood is Bluff Heights, a diverse and exciting area of Long Beach. Our home in Bluff Heights has so much to offer:
We are a two minute walk to the beach, which has a bicycle path and running path connecting downtown Long Beach to the north and Belmont Shore to the south. Just above the beach is Bluff Park.
Bixby Park (also called Cherry Park), has weekly farmer's market (Tuesday and Saturday), summer concerts, a famous skate park, play areas for children, picnic areas, and much more.
We are steps away from Long Beach's "Retro Row" a fun place to hang out and shop for vintage and classic clothes, furniture, art, books, and more. Also, the street is home to the beloved Art Theatre which shows new films, classic films, and special events: Retro Row.
The neighborhood is perfect for walking and enjoying the beautiful homes in the area, or the cafes, restaurants, and bars. We say that we are in "stumbling distance" to many great bars and clubs. A recent article in the New York Times shows our lovely city: 36 Hours in LB. https://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/18/travel/36-hours-long-beach-calif.html
Please note that Long Beach is home to one of America's largest LGBTQ+ communities and our neighborhood is very close to all the fun.
Long Beach is home to many museums and major attractions. We are steps away from The Long Beach Museum of Art and The Museum of Latin American Art and The Pacific Island Ethnic Art Museum
Just north of us (20-30 minute walk) is downtown Long Beach which features excellent entertainment, restaurants, events, and The Aquarium of the Pacific and The Queen Mary.
Just south of our home (a 15-20 minute walk) are the Belmont Shore and Naples neighborhoods. Belmont Shore is a fun neighborhood of restaurants, bars, shopping, and commercial businesses. Naples is a bit slower, but also has many great restaurants and bars. The area is also known for the waterways, boating, kayaks, and gondolas.
Public transport by bus in Long Beach is easy and affordable, but the city is becoming the best city in the U.S. for bicycles, also travel by car is very easy here, with parking and many rental companies, if needed.
Long Beach is a major travel gateway also. It's easy to go anywhere in the U.S. from Long Beach. Catalina Island is a 40 minute boat ride from Long Beach on Catalina Express also Carnival Cruises sails to Mexico from Long Beach. Our airport has daily flights to many cities in the U.S. such as Las Vegas, San Francisco, Chicago, Honolulu, and Maui. We love to use our airport because it is much smaller and friendlier than LAX. The Blue Line light rail connects us to Los Angeles and its public transport system: Metro.
Long Beach is close to Los Angeles and its world-class attractions (Getty Museum, LACMA, Sports Events, Concerts, and on and on) and also close to Orange County and all it has to offer (Surf and beaches, Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, and on).
We've traveled to many countries around the world, and it always feels good to come back home to Long Beach. It has so much to offer to so many. We hope you will love it as much as we do.
We love the easy indoor/outdoor living style here.
We are a 10-30 minute walk from everything fun here in Long Beach.
