Our home, a 2 bedroom flat, nearly 100 sq meters, is located at the centre of Tallinn, capital of Estonia.
A 15 minutes walk (or a 5 minutes ride on many buses) brings you to the very centre of the city (National Opera, concert halls, art galleries, shopping streets). And to the Old Town, an UNESCO’s World Heritage Site. It is a real medieval treasure with the vivid market square, many churches, museums, extensive defense walls and the hilltop Toompea with the Gothic castle, cathedrals, and stunning views to the city and nearby harbor busy with many cruise ships and ferries coming and going. The Old Town vibrant atmosphere with lots of bars and restaurants maintains the charm of the middle ages and is worth to visit any time of the year.
Opposite direction, right from our house starts the much-loved green and pleasant district of Kadriorg with quiet streets lined by numerous traditional wooden houses, as such a rare ensemble in the whole Europe. Also dotted with splendid villas and trendy apartment buildings. A bit further, and there is the Kadriorg large historic park, bordering with endless seaside promenade. Kadriorg boasts more than it's a fair share of tourist-worthy attractions, the most famous of which is the Kadriorg Palace, which Peter the Great had built for his wife Catherine ('Kadri' in Estonian). Today the Palace houses the foreign art division of the Art Museum of Estonia. Next to this, the President’s Palace and an equally impressive Estonian Contemporary Art Museum (KUMU).
Living on the top floor (a rare 7-floor ‘tower-building’ at the area) we have a marvelous nearly 300 degrees view to the Old Town and Kadriorg area. A green wind protected balcony is a great place to enjoy sunsets. There is a spacious living room, an open kitchen, two bedrooms, shower, a fireplace, all in all, 4 separate rooms. You will enjoy the sauna with the small window, where you can see ships at the harbour. An elevator of course. Two private parking places. We can leave our small Volvo C30 for your use. Wi-fi, Internet TV with many cable channels. The location provides the perfect combination of easy access to sights, restaurants, theatres, galleries, cinemas. There are several ferries daily to Helsinki, a 2,5 hours trip. Also, Stockholm, Riga and St Petersburg are not far. Buses and trams can take you easily to any place at the city, taxi companies Uber and Taxify are always at your disposal. If you should seek to go further afield, the central bus station where you can take a trip all over Estonia is 10 minutes away. Our country is a dreamland for nature lovers.
A 10 minutes drive to the international Lennart Meri Airport.
Our home is close to the beaches, parks and old town, also to the harbour and the airport.
Cosy place for a rest, the best place for walks and sightseeings.
It is only 10 minutes to everywhere in Tallinn, to the old town, harboury, airport.
It has a window protected glass balcony with marvellous views.
