Host a meetup
Have you done at least 1 exchange as a guest and 1 as a host? Then you can create a meetup! It's very easy, and takes only a few minutes to set up.
Submit your meetup on Luma
Your meetup can take place any time between March 19th and March 25th, 2026.
To create your meetup, you'll need to:
- use this link (also provided in our buttons "Submit a meetup")
- create an account on Luma, our event management partner, using the same email address as your HomeExchange account.

We’ve gathered answers to the most common questions to help you be ready for HomeExchange Days.
Terms and Conditions HomeExchange Days 2026
HomeExchange Days is a worldwide event organized by HomeExchange, in which members with an active membership will host in-person and online meetups between 19th and 25th March 2026.
Eligibility for hosting a meetup: In order to host a meetup, hosts must have an active membership (valid until at least March 25th 2026) and will have completed at least one exchange as a host and one as a guest. When submitting their plans via Luma, they must use the same email address that is registered to their HomeExchange account.
Failure to do so may result in the 300 GuestPoints for hosting not being credited to them.
Submitting a meetup: All meetups must be submitted via this link.
Permissions for Luma, HomeExchange’s event planning partner: Once hosts have created a meetup, they consent to receiving updates from Luma.Meetup verification: A meetup must be verified by a member of the HomeExchange team in order to be eligible to take part in the event. Hosts will receive an email within 2 working days of submitting their meetup plans to confirm that the meetup is now live on the global event map.
GuestPoints for hosting a meetup: Hosts will receive 300 GuestPoints on March 25th 2026 if at least one person registers for and attends their meetup. Hosts can create as many meetups as they wish between the valid dates, but a maximum of 300 GuestPoints for hosting will be granted per host.
GuestPoints for attending a meetup: Guests will receive 100 GuestPoints on March 26th 2026 if they have registered to attend a meetup, and if they have a HomeExchange account using the same email address. They can register for and/or attend more than one meetup, but will be granted the 100 GuestPoints only once.
GuestPoints for hosting and attending a meetup: HomeExchange members who are hosting a meetup are also welcome to attend another member’s meetup as a guest. However, they will only be eligible for 300 GuestPoints for hosting, if they have at least one registered guest. If they have no registered guests, they will instead be eligible for 100 GuestPoints if they register to attend another meetup.
Host referral limits: These are being permanently lifted for all HomeExchange Days 2026 hosts. As such, they can receive 250 GuestPoints every time someone uses their referral code to complete their home listing and pay for their membership (50 GuestPoints will be automatically added when a guest completes their listing and 200 GuestPoints will be automatically added when they purchase their membership).
There is no limit to how many GuestPoints a host can secure when their guests use their referral code. There is no time limit on when guests can use a host’s referral code.
Referral codes used by guests: Regardless of how many meetups a guest registers for and/or attends, they can only use one HomeExchange member's referral code to complete their home listing and purchase their membership. They will automatically receive 100 GuestPoints when they complete their home listing and 150 GuestPoints when they purchase their membership.
Existing members using referral codes: Members who have already paid for their membership are welcome to attend a meetup. If they have not already used a referral code, they may use their HomeExchange Days host’s referral code.
In doing so, they will be eligible to receive the usual 250 GuestPoints if their home listing is complete, and their membership is active.
There is no time limit on when members can use a referral code.
Special gift for Hosts:The first 300 hosts to reach 2 registered attendees with valid contact details will receive an email notifying them that their special gift will be posted on or before March 25th. Shipping is limited to members living in the European Union, the UK and Ireland, and the United States of America. Members living beyond these areas are not eligible for this special gift or an alternative.
Conditions of hosting a meetup: HomeExchange reserves the right to remove any meetups which seem to be offensive or fail to comply with the community rules of respect and trust. Meetups which are not authorized by HomeExchange will not be eligible for the 300 GuestPoints for hosting. Meetups are free to attend.
Special giveaway for guests: All guests who correctly register to join a meetup before March 15th will have the chance to win our special giveaway of 1,000 GuestPoints and a package of goodies. One prize is available. The winner will be notified by email, and sent a code in order to redeem their prize. GuestPoints will be added to winner’s account on March 26th, or whenever they have created their home listing. Shipment can only be made to countries in the EU, USA, Canada or UK. Only entrants who are not current or former members of HomeExchange are eligible to take part.
