Our home is a beautiful, modern home directly on the sandy beach of the ocean in Chuburna Puerto, Yucatan, Mexico. You will be 30 feet from the water! Walk out the back yard, and yo are there, on an uncrowded stretch of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. The people in the are are mostly local Mayans, mixed with some snowbirds from Canada and the US. Gorgeous views of the ocean from your master bedroom deck. Private enclosed pool with lovely view. Both bedrooms are spacious, and are upstairs on the second level. Both have a/c. Modern kitchen and amenities, such as modern refrigerator and microwave. No dishwasher, they are rare in the area. Single car garage with use of car available. There are 2 modern, clean bathrooms with showers. Wireless Internet is available. The home is in very nice condition, it is 5 years old, and we have never even rented it out before, we use it ourselves a few times each year when we can make it down to Yucatan.

Lo que te va a encantar del barrio

On the Gulf of Mexico in a Mayan fishing village. Living amongst the locals. Some nice modern homes owned foreigners and Merida business owners, along with very modest, one room homes housing the beautiful and kind Yucatan people (Mayans). Walking to beach, convenience stores, and some great local, inexpensive restaurants! We have an older, reliable Honda CRV you can use, just please fill it back up when you leave. The town of Chelem is a 5 minute drive, it is slightly more busy than quiet Churburna. Progresso, a larger city, which is also a cruise port, is about 20 minutes drive from the house. The modern and traditional city of Merida, is about 45 minutes, and is a major city of 1.2 million. Merida and the surrounding areas are ranked #1 in safety in all of Mexico! It is a fantastic, traditional city that must be explored! You may only see locals and very few tourists when you go into the bustling city of Merida, but it has both modern and traditional restaurants, bars, clubs, and department stores (Costco, Walmart, Home Depot, etc). The airport is an hour away from our house, and a driver costs about 800 pesos ($40 US).
