Lo que te va a encantar en esta casa

Our 1920s family home is on a leafy hillside a comfortable walk along an ancient lane and through 'Mesopotamia' into the centre of Oxford. Our four children grew up here and now there's welcoming bedroom space for grandchildren as well, along with swings and a play house in the garden. The family kitchen is well-equipped, with a pantry, the dining room can seat 16, there's a generous sitting room and a study which can accommodate a blow up double bed or a baby who needs a room to itself. The wide entrance hall has a coat lobby leading to the downstairs loo. In addition to the four first floor bedrooms, two en-suite and another with a balcony, and the family bath and shower room, there are two attic bedrooms with far-reaching views and a further shower room. We converted the garage at the end of the garden to provide a sitting room, double bedroom and shower room for visitors who enjoy peace and quiet. Under the balcony is a large garden table, benches and chairs. Wisteria runs along the front of the house and over the balcony, there are roses and fruit trees in the south-west facing garden, as well as a good-sized lawn for games.

Lo que te va a encantar del barrio

We have several children's playgrounds in beautiful parkland, one with a lending library, within easy walking distance, and there's an outdoor pool as well as two indoor pools nearby. There are excellent supermarkets close by with a Saturday farmers' market. Oxford's colleges, galleries and museums are world renowned, there are two theatres and a huge choice of lectures and cultural events throughout the year. The Thames and Cherwell rivers meet in Christchurch Meadow and there are numerous riverside walks to be discovered, along with punting on the Cherwell and cruises on the Thames. The Chiltern Hills are ten miles in the direction of London, while ten miles to the west the Cotwolds with their golden stone villages begin at Woodstock, a world heritage site and the birthplace, at Blenheim Palace, of Sir Winston Churchill. There are frequent buses and trains to the centre of London, only an hour away.
