Lo que te va a encantar en esta casa
Attractive 3 bedroom, end of terrace cottage, built in 1890 with modern garden studio and south facing garden. Simply but stylishly decorated, there are two double bedrooms (one a spacious and sunny attic conversion) and one single. As we have small children, it is very well equipped for babies and young children with two large cot-beds, strollers, carseats and high chairs etc.
The house is 1000 square feet and has one bathroom with tub and shower overhead. There is a 65 foot garden. We can arrange the house to suit your family - for instance, the second bedroom can be arranged with two child beds or cots, or one king sized bed, the third bedroom can have the two child beds or one, with a single bed etc.
The house is just a 2 minute walk from the train station and 15 minute walk from historic Oxford city centre (there are also plenty of buses, and a reliable, cheap taxi service). There are trains every 30 minutes to London (1 hour), and if you have a car, Oxford is right on the edge of the beautiful and charming Cotwolds.
Oxford is romantic and beautiful - you can spend weeks visiting the colleges and their lovely gardens, as well as the famous Ashmolean Museum and Bodleian Library. There are endless restaurants and cafes to choose from - we'll happily make recommendations.
Our house would make an excellent swap for a family looking for a comfortable and well-equipped home that can accommodate children in a relaxed environment. There is a little garden room which provides a green and quiet retreat from the house.
The house is simply equipped, but cosy and you will be very comfortable here. We do not have a television, but the major television stations can be watched online and there is broadband wifi.
Lo que te va a encantar del barrio
We live in a residential area made up of Victorian cottages that were originally built to accommodate the workers in Oxford's famous Christ Church College. Our street is a very quiet cul de sac with just 22 houses, all family homes, and there are plenty of children. The historic city centre is just a short walk (or even shorter bus ride!) away, but in the immediate vicinity are convenience stores, newsagents, family-friendly pubs serving great food, and a safe and friendly children's playground.
The area is much sought after by married London professionals who commute to London from the convenient train station, as the neighbourhood is considered to be one of the best in the country for bringing up a family.
The city has endless lovely restaurants and cafes, and you will be spoilt for choice if you plan to eat out - if you want to venture a little further out of the city, the world-famous Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons is just a short drive away, as is the Crazy Bear. The very chic Cowley Manor is within easy reach, and if you want to entertain children, the glorious Cotswold Wildlife Park, situated on the edge of Burford, is an easy drive.
