In August 2021, Kat and her partner traveled to Paris, France for vacation. As an avid HomeExchanger, Kat was kind enough to share her story with us and to give some advice for people interested in or just starting to home swap.

The apartment had a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower out of the window!
What did you appreciate most about your exchange partner?
Natalie was easy to exchange with and communicative. She made it easy to come to her home and even left a welcome guide with good restaurant suggestions in the neighborhood.
What did you see or do during your exchange?
I had an amazing trip to Paris! We went to a ton of museums- the Louvre, Musée D’Orsay, Rodin Museum and more. We picnicked by the Eiffel Tower, strolled through French Markets, had wine by the Seine, saw churches and ancient streets.

My hosts have been so kind in opening their homes to me and I really appreciate all their advice for how to explore their neighborhoods and live like a local.
What would you say to your friends and family who are considering HomeExchange?
It’s easy! There’s great places to stay, great people, and the company provides help and guarantees to make it all safe.
What tips and tricks would you give to new HomeExchangers?
Not every date will work with folks, but there’s no harm reaching out to ask.
