4. Your arrival: How was the house? Did you meet your host? Did they give you any gifts or tips for visiting the area?

At the arrival unfortunately we did not meet Judith because she was not in the city. The apartment was absolutely great, a lot of space, a lot of sunshine, perfect position so close to the most beautiful sights including the parliament. We found there everything we needed and we felt so comfortable. Judith had even toys so our youngest daughter could play when we had a rest in the apartment. There was a piano too! Our oldest daughter is music student so she was amazed.

5. How did exchanging your home influence your vacation, compared to a traditional vacation rental?

We love to exchange homes with other people. It is always an excellent opportunity to see new destinations and other people’s homes. One can find so many things in the hosts’ homes that make the life so much easier and the trip so much more comfortable.

6. Tell us what you saw during your trip.

We made a lot of preparations before the trip so we knew what we definitely wanted to see. We visited incredible Buda with its magnificent streets, churches, castles. We were so lucky that during our stay there was a museum night enabling us to visit Imperial castle, National Archive, Music museum, Military Museum…We also visited bustling Pest with its beautiful monuments, churches but above all the most interesting visit of all was the Hungarian Parliament building that belongs to one of the most beautiful in the world. Our younger daughters were given there a small gift – a tiny foil of gold used during the restorations of the building. You can imagine how happy they were. I have to point out the ZOO - absolutely great place where you can spend hours and hours. We all fell in love with that magical city, its beautiful Danube River and the bridges connecting the fascinating parts of Buda and Pest.We will always come gladly back and enjoy the Market, famous Vaci Utca, and to say a prayer in magnificent Cathedral.

7. Bonus Question: What is the best memory from your trip?

The best memory from our trip is the view to the city from the citadel at the beginning of the night when the city lights were starting illuminating that magical city.
