Best Beer Gardens in Dublin
Coming from Ireland, I understand the need to soak up every last ray of sunshine whenever it appears – which is very seldom!
This week we have decided to introduce you to the best beer gardens in the heart of Dublin city centre, where you can sit and relax in the Irish fresh air and have an Irish pint! Even without the sun, these pubs have provided for every possibility, with a roof cover in the (extreme) likelihood of rain, and plenty of heaters for those cold evenings!
1. The Living Room, Cathal Brugha Street
This is one of the biggest and best sports bars in the city centre, also with a beer garden where you can enjoy the various sporting events in the sun! Located on the North side of Dublin, and just off the main street, O’Connell Street, you dont have to go far to enjoy and relax in the outdoors with a beer in your hand. The Living Room boasts to having Dublin’s largest beer garden and Europe’s largest outdoor screen!
2. House, Leeson Street
This place is relatively new on the scene, but they have attracted people with their astro-turf beer garden, BBQ menu and jazz Thursdays! The jazz plays live in the garden every Thursday, and the BBQ is a new event happening this summer with a delicious buffet menu. Located south of the Liffey and close to Stephens Green, they are known for their amazing Long Island Ice Teas!
3. Dicey’s, Harcourt Street
One of the most popular spots in Dublin, situated on Harcourt Street, right in the middle of the city and close to plenty of other bars and clubs – its a really lively area! With cheap drink deals all week round, a private area where you can book your corporate BBQ, and different events each night – there is something for everyone! They even have international night during some months to welcome travellers who are exploring the city!
4. Mourne Seafood Bar, Grand Canal
The Mourne Seafood Bar is directly located in the canal basin, and offers delicious food and drink with spectacular views both day and night. The Dock Bar is open Tuesday to Saturday and has a wide range of beers (including craft draught), wines and spirits, overlooking the canal and its only a short walk from the city centre!
5. The Temple Bar, Temple Bar
Temple bar is one of the busiest areas in Dublin city, with people from all over the world coming to enjoy the Irish “craic” in this world famous place! Even in all the business, there is an outdoor haven! It’s the only licensed garden in the area, so take advantage of the chance to sit and enjoy the Dublin atmosphere with the locals!
