A peek behind the scenes

At HomeExchange, it always starts with you. Our community. Your homes, your stories, your exchanges, and your messages after a successful stay. It was by observing you, listening to you, and sharing with you that we felt the need to evolve our brand, which hadn't changed since the merger of GuestToGuest and HomeExchange several years ago! Not to change who we are, but to tell our story better.
Taking the time to ask the right questions

Last spring, we took a moment to step back. We went to chat with our members, HomeExchange employees and founders.
And we asked them:
- Why does HomeExchange really exist?
- What really sets us apart from other ways of traveling?
- What do our members stand for, often without ever putting those sentiments into words?
This work allowed us to clarify our reason to be, our mission, and the battles we want to continue fighting. It's funny for a brand as peaceful as ours to talk about battles, but defining them helped us see things more clearly.
Putting words to your experiences
We reread your messages, your testimonials, your travel memories. We talked among ourselves about what touched us most about HomeExchange. What made us and you proud. What we absolutely wanted to preserve.
One thing became very clear: HomeExchange is not just a way to travel, it's a whole new way of seeing the world. An open world that welcomes others. A world where we trust each other.
This reworked brand concept is, we hope, a reflection of what you already experience when you exchange your home. The emotion of entrusting your space to someone else. The curiosity of discovering a place through someone else's daily life. The strange, and sometimes wonderful feeling of living in a place that has a soul.
All this is possible because we share. Together, we spread the power of sharing. By opening our doors to someone we don't yet know. By sharing our daily lives, our tips, our amenities... By sharing this same idea of travel and discovery.
Why change our visual identity?
Over time, HomeExchange has grown. So has our community. So our visual identity needed to evolve to better reflect who we are today.
We wanted a warmer, more vibrant identity that was less polished and less anonymous.
Something more unifying. This visual change is not a break with the past. It is a continuation.
We haven't changed our values or our approach to travel. We have simply adjusted the way we express them to make them clearer, more assertive, and more faithful to the spirit of HomeExchange.

This new brand concept and visual identity will gradually be rolled out on our website, in our communications, and in our content. But the essentials remain unchanged.
Above all else, HomeExchange is about:
- members who trust each other,
- doors that open,
- and of course, a whole new way of seeing the world ;-)
