Vad du kommer att gilla med hemmet

Villa Zanotti is an old house, recently renovated, in a beautiful old garden full of mediterranean plants, various sitting areas and a small private pool. The villa is in a perfectly tranquil location. The house and the garden are surrounded by a wall and offer plenty of space and complete privacy. Down the hill, towards south/east there lies the lake. Right below the garden flows a little stream, which's gentle bubbling will accompany you softly into your dreams. Behind the house, up the mountain, there is nothing but forest, towards one of Europes biggest national parks, the Valgrande. Still, the beaches and bustling tourist areas are only a few minutes away by car. Cannero is at its best in summer, when days are hot and there is lots of sunshine. The garden offers plenty of invitingly shady spots during daytime. Nevertheless, the air temperature in most summer nights is moderate, due to the villa's location at the little creek. During the colder months, the villa also holds it's special attractions. You will love to light a fire in one of the 5 open fireplaces of the house (no worries, the main source of heat is a central heating). End of April and beginning of May, the garden is full of flowering Camellias, Azaleas and Rhododendrons. The villa has 4 bedrooms and can accommodate 8 people. 2 bedrooms are spacious with double beds. 2 are small with 1,40m wide beds and well suited for two children each or single occupation. The house is renovated to highest standards. Reciprocal exchange only.

Villa Zanotti is located above Lago Maggiore, one of the big north Italian lakes. It is 5 minutes by car from the center of Cannero Riviera, with its beautiful beach, promenade, restaurants, small grocery store, pharmacy and post office. From the Villa‘s doorsteps you can follow the trail to Monte Morissolo, which is a 4 hour alpine hike, up to its peak, where you will have a spectacular view over the lake 1.000m below you, the alpine peaks behind and the Valgrande national park. The Verzasca valley in Switzland can be reached within 45 minutes by car. A lot of other attractive mountain and lake locations are in between. All kind of water sports are available at Cannero and Cannobio. The botanical island at Brissago or the Isola Bella at Stresa are attractive locations, the Orta lake, or the town of Ascona or Milano (by train from Verbania within one hour) are great spots to visit.

When staying at the Villa, you will need a car. Zurich airport is 3 hours by car, Milano Malpensa airport is 1 hour by car. A cleaning fee of €150 applies. The town of Cannero Riviera requests an obligatory tourist tax of €2 per guest per day, which has to be paid by guests directly to the town. The pool is 6x3m and operated between May to September. It is unheated, but due to its small size, it warms up fast and the water temperature is pleasant for playing and cooling down. For serious swimmers we recommend the lake.
