Vad du kommer att gilla med hemmet

Since this is our primary residence, we have learned that it takes us a bit of work to prep the home for guests as we would like so we are looking for exchanges of 4 nights or longer. Thanks for understanding. We designed our home to look like one from the early 1900's but live like a modern home, purpose-built to raise our children, host big family gatherings and entertain friends. We love to cook so the kitchen is at the very center of the action and flows into the living room. We are both artists and our home is chock full of quirky design elements, curiosities and art.

Vad du kommer att gilla med grannskapet

We live in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Appalachian Trail, and in the center of the Virginia wine region. The driveway is just under a half-mile of gravel to the home which sits on a small hill overlooking a 3-acre field or Glen. We are surrounded by 135 acres of open mature forest with paths and lots of wildlife. It is truly our sanctuary and we share it with my parents, and my wife's sister and her family. The valley we live in is called the Rockfish Valley and it is home to three world class breweries, two cideries, several wineries and three distilleries. This is the destination for the mid atalantic to go hiking, biking, drinking wine and beer with friends, listen to outdoor live music, and drink in the beauty of the Blue Ridge.
