Vad du kommer att gilla med hemmet

This is a separate building/appartement in the back of our yard. It it a compact place with a living room with a sleeping place. The kitchen is in the living room. You have your own bathroom and a separate toilet. The place is heated by a wooden fireplace which is connected with floor heating. You have your own terrace and can use our gym and pool. Possible to park for free. Most of the time (some of us) will be at home as well. We can help you with getting around.

Haren is a very green village. It has all the facilities you need, like a lot of different stores, restaurants, trainstation, friday market. In the near surroundings there a natures reserves, where you can go for a walk, to bicycle or do watersport. Lakes in the neighboorhoud are Paterwoldse meer, Hoornse meer and Zuidlaardermeer. Haren is famous for its botanical garden, the Hortus with her chinese gardens. The oldest golf course of the north is very close, here you can play golf. The city of Groningen is 6 km away, and can be reached by train, bus, bike or car. Groningen is a university city with a young population, lots of pubs, nice museum, 2 theaters, cinema's and plenty of shops. Groningen is nationally known as the "Metropolis of the North", and is with a population of 185,000 by far the largest city in the area. It boasts a remarkably large student population (approximately 40,000), which gives the city a young and vibrant atmosphere. The city has a high quality public transport network. It is also easy to reach Groningen by car, bike or boat and even by plane. Groningen is aprox. half an hour from the German border, and one and a half hour from Amsterdam. Groningen is the cultural centre of the north. Where architecture, design, theatre, or music are concerned, Groningen is a well-developed and study city of art. Be sure to learn about the city’s cultural wealth. The city of Groningen has a reputation when it comes to architectonic innovation, and it is prepared to recruit world-famous designers or make a considerable budget available for an architectural festival. Groningen has received several awards and the city has countless interesting buildings and marks from top architects such as Starck, Koolhaas and Hejduk. A youthful city such as Groningen has ample opportunity for entertainment, with no less than 160 pubs, gourmet-pubs and discothèques, and dozens of outdoor cafés in the city centre. The city is also bustling with theatre activities. At any day or time Groningen has always something for you to see, hear, or do. Apart from the law school, our street houses a prize winning pub and a Michelin star restaurant. Groningen has many wonderful things to offer; some of which can be seen in museums such as the world famous groninger museum (www.groningermuseum.nl). Alternatively, take a boat excursion though the canals to become acquainted with the city. Groningen has diversity and small-scale shops, including numerous design shops with the latest trends and novel accessories. Walk through streets filled with aromatic spices and design businesses, or original gift shops. The Grote Markt and Vismarkt are in teh centre of Groningen; almost every day there is a fresh goods market; clothes and antiques are also sold. There are some small historical villages nearby worth visiting (like Bourtange), a Zoo in the city of Emmen, a seal sanctuary in Pieterburen. Amsterdam is good for a day trip by train. There is several islands to visit in about one hour by bus or car, the boattrip is just lovely, feel the breeze and freedom. Schiermonnikoog is the nearest island, you can rent a bike there and ride the whole island in a few hours. Huge beaches on the islands, nice boattrips, good for a daytrip. Germany is 60 km away. The neighbourhood is safe and easy, its a great area and you will for sure like it a lot here. There are lakes and forest nearby and explore the surroundings by bicycle is very nice. We have bikes you can use.
