The living room is bright and comfortable. Two sofas to relax, enough space and toys for the kids to play (no tv!). The dining table seats up to 8 persons, normally there are 4 chairs and two high chairs for the kids (Tripp Trapp). The open kitchen is equipped with fridge, freezer, coffee machine, oven, microwave and dishwasher. There are also lots of kitchen tools like kitchen machine, bake ware and other kitchen utensils. On the second floor are three rooms: our bedroom with double bed and large closet. One bedroom with a single bed, desk and closet. The third room is turned into a home office since covid. The bathroom has a bath, shower and second toilet. On the third floor is the third bedroom with single bed, desk and closet. On the attic corridor is also the washing machine / dryer. laundry and storage (currently renovating). We have an extra mattress if needed. The garden is situated on the west and is very sunny. You can choose to sit in the sun on the terrace (garden furniture) or relax in a covered, shaded area on handmade wooden sofas. In the shed are our bicycles: 2 adult bikes and 2 kids bikes. You can use the bikes with a juniorkid seat (both bikes for people around 1,8m). You also can attach the dog bike trailer to both bikes. In the shed you will also find toys, swings and barbecue equipment.

We live in a quiet neighbourhood with plenty facilities. There is a Lidl-supermarket, farmacy, bakery, gasstation, Chinese restaurant, snack bar and a flower shop at walking distance. Behind our house is a parking area and a small playground for kids. In our street is a citybus stop, this bus will take you to the city center or station. You can also take a bike to the city center, it will take less then 10 minutes. Goes is a cosy, compact and versatile city with a wide range of shops and restaurants. There is a market every Tuesday (food and non food) and Saturday (only food / flowers). Goes has a small harbor surrounded by historical houses, a golf course and a subtropical pool. In the province of Zeeland are plenty things to do: sail, surf, swim, dive, cycle, play golf or fishing. Zeeland is well known by the Delta works, many beaches and large dunes. You can go out to visit a museum, Zoo, amusement park, nature reserve or visit historic towns and villages. The bus- and train station is a couple of minutes by bike or car. Travel by train is easy and comfortable, no traffic jams or parking problems. Of course you can take the car for a trip. In a few minutes you are on the highway: Rotterdam, Brussels, Breda or Gent are a one hour drive. Amsterdam and Utrecht will take a 2 hour drive.

In de stad Goes staat ons fijne gezinshuis. Op de begane vloer is een open ruimte met daarin de woonkamer, eetkamer en keuken. Met twee zitbanken en een eettafel met zes zitplaatsen moet je ergens een plekje kunnen vinden. Een tv hebben we niet maar probeer eens iets op de piano of schuif een paar kastdeurtjes open voor een spelletje. De keuken is voldoende uitgerust met allerlei apparaten en materialen voor een eenpansmaal tot vijfgangen diner. Op de eerste verdieping hebben we de ouderslaapkamer (bed 180x200), een kinderkamer (bed 90x200), een werkkamer en een badkamer (douche + bad). Op zolder is de tweede kinderslaapkamer (bed 80x200), op de overloop staan de wasmachine en droger. Ons huis is niet supergroot of staat niet op een bijzondere plek. Toch wonen we na 14 jaar nog steeds op dezelfde plek omdat het zo goed bevalt: de ruimtes zijn groot genoeg voor ons vieren, de buurt is heel fijn (zie hieronder) en school/ouders zijn dichtbij.

Ons huis staat in een rustige wijk in Goes. In de wijk heb je alles wat je nodig hebt: bakker, drogist, supermarkt, frietboer/chinees restaurant, bloemist en apotheek. Voor kinderen zijn er genoeg speeltuintjes te vinden. Ook achter ons huis is een speeltuintje! Dit heeft als voordeel dat we alleen buren aan de zijkanten hebben en geen 'gluurburen' :) Binnen tien minuutjes fietsen ben je in het gezellige centrum van Goes waar van alles te doen is. Qua aanbod kunnen we niet tippen aan een grotere steden maar dit compenseren we met een hele hoop natuur en Zeeuwse cultuur. Met de auto ben je met een halfuur rijden aan de Noordzeekust of rij je België binnen.

Övrigt

In verband met school/werk zijn korte weekenden vaak niet mogelijk om te ruilen. Verder zijn we juist erg fan van ruilen binnen Nederland want er is zoveel wat we nog niet ontdekt hebben!
