Wat je fantastisch zult vinden in dit huis

Our home is situated on the edge of a meadow overlooking Pacific Ocean on the distant horizon through the trees. The house was designed by a local architect. I moved in when it was completed in 2004. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms, one with a bathtub and shower, the other with a shower. Each has a queen sized bed. The library's comfortable queen sized sofa bed has a built in electronically inflatable air mattress. Next to the library is an additional half bathroom for guests. The great room has an open modern kitchen with a walk-in pantry, dining and sitting areas and a gas fireplace. The house is about 2000 sq feet and the attached garage is another 400 sq feet. Most rooms have windows facing in two or more directions so the house is full of light. Fair sized decks on on the south and north side of the house take advantage of morning and evening light. One has a barbeque, both have tables for outdoor dining. We have DSL (WiFi) and Cable TV.

Our home is located in one of the most spectacular coastal areas in California. We live very close to the village of Mendocino whose old world charm attracts tourists from all over the world. About three and a half hours drive from San Francisco (depending on traffic), the journey to Mendocino is a delight. Stop at some of Anderson Valley's well-known wineries; then drive through redwoods of Jackson State Forest until you reach our glorious coastal headlands. We live two miles North of the village of Mendocino. Many artists, musicians and writers live here. We have year round theater and annual music and film festivals,good restaurants and art galleries. Approximately eight miles to the North is Fort Bragg, an old lumber and fishing town, with more restaurants and galleries. Beaches and State Parks are abundant with plenty of trails along headlands and into the forests. Wide, lovely slow moving rivers are paralleled by roads that were once used to haul redwood logs from the forest to the coast. These roads go inland for miles and are are wonderful for walks and bike rides. And the rivers are great for kayaking or canoeing. Noyo harbor on the way to Fort Bragg offers deep sea fishing excursions and at the right time of year, whale watching. Less than a mile from our home is Point Cabrillo Lightstation with an active fresnel lens and a couple of miles of hiking trails and whale watching. There is also beach for surfing in our cold Pacific Ocean a mile or two up the road from us. Many divers come here to hunt for abalone, although the amount they may take is restricted by law.

Our house is full of light and is very peaceful, the only sound is of the distant Pacific ocean Less than five minutes to the nearest beach, a lovely lighthouse with a working fresnel lens is down the street from us There are two decks, one facing South, the other North. One with a barbeque.
