Wat je fantastisch zult vinden in dit huis

Our bright and sunny 3 bedroom/ 3 bath home was built in 2016 and has the perfect mix of indoor and outdoor living space! Upstairs you will find a large, open concept living area with gas fireplace, a bright and well-stocked kitchen (we love to cook and have lots of nice cookware/ gadgets), dining room, craft/ music room (with queen sized sofa sleeper), and full bathroom with shower and bathtub. Off the kitchen is a large deck with great views, an outdoor dining table, and gas BBQ. From the deck, there are stairs leading into our backyard which has a custom built playground (swings, slide, and clubhouse), another outdoor dining area which sits beneath a beautiful pergola, all surrounded by young, but hearty fruit trees (citrus and stone fruit — depending on season). The master bedroom and two additional bedrooms are downstairs. The two kids’ bedrooms share a full bath. Both have twin sized beds (one room also has a twin trundle bed and the other has a twin futon — please let us know in advance if these are needed so we can provide bedding). The master bedroom has a king sized bed and en-suite bathroom. There is a sliding glass door off the master bedroom which leads to a patio in the backyard which has a small hot tub and an additional outdoor seating area (all covered and shaded by the upstairs deck). In the front yard you will find parking for two cars in the driveway, plenty of street parking, and a small outdoor seating area. In the garage we have a gymnatics bar with mat, a peloton (bring your own shoes!), several bikes (adult and kid bikes), scooters, beach toys, boogie boards, chairs, and more!

De leukste plekjes bij ons in de buurt

We live in a quiet neighborhood just outside the heart of downtown San Luis Obispo. We are about 1 mile (15 min walk, or 5 min bike ride) to the center of downtown. The Historic Railroad District is a quick 5 min (ish - without kids) walk down the hill from our house and has a couple cute breakfast places, a popular cafe/ coffee shop, several lunch/ dinner restaurants, a very casual wine bar, and a deli (with a sunny patio great for grabbing sandwiches and beers). Tree-lined downtown SLO offers wonderful locally owned shopping and dining options. Lots of family friendly spots (we’ll leave a list of recommendations). On Thursday evening, there is a lively Farmer’s Market downtown with live music, entertainment for the kids and more than 100 vendors selling locally grown produce, prepared foods, crafts, etc. A fun way to spend the evening. During the summer months, Concerts in the Plaza offers a free concert series every Friday late afternoon- early evening. This is a family friendly event and is a great way to check out local musicians, grab some dinner and a drink (either from one of the vendors inside the plaza or from one of the many downtown restaurants) and soak up the CA sunshine! There are several breweries on the outskirts of town. Many have large outdoor areas with games and space for kids to run around :)

Aanvullende informatie

Wineries: We are about 15 mins to Edna Valley (by car) which is a fantastic, small wine growing region. Paso Robles, a larger, very well known wine region is located 30 miles to our north. About an hour south of us you will find the Los Olivos area, which also has fantastic wine tasting (and restaurants) with more of a small town feel. Beaches (there are many more than what is listed below!): Shell Beach is a family favorite due to its lack of crowds and proximity to our house — about 15 mins away. During low tide, it’s a great place to explore the tide pools. Morro Bay is another favorite of ours. It’s about 20 mins north of SLO and has long stretches of open beaches, kayak and boat rentals in the bay, locally harvested oyster shops, tons of seafood restaurants (our favorite is Dockside — outdoor dining right on the bay and live music during the day on the weekends!). Montaña de Oro - Quite possibly one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline on the Central Coast. About 30 minutes away from SLO, you will find over 7 miles of undeveloped coastline with hiking trails (our favorite is the bluff trail — easy, flat, hike zig-zagging along the cliffs), sea arches, sea caves, tide pools, sand dunes, beaches, and hills. Not to be missed. Hikes There are so many hiking spots within the city limits! Too many to list! We have a comprehensive book which we will leave for visitors :) Right outside our door is Terrace Hill, which is an easy (but steep) hike to an unobstructed plateau with one of the best views in all of SLO. This is a great place to bring a bottle of wine and catch the sunset. ** Note, this is not much of a hike. The “loop” is less than a mile.** Helpful websites: — restaurants, wineries, things to do in San Luis Obispo County — info on Thursday Farmer’s Market, restaurants, breweries, public art, events — specific to downtown SLO. — fun article on wineries in Paso Robles
