Wat je fantastisch zult vinden in dit huis

This is our home away from home. It has a cozy, peaceful feel during the cooler months and a more lively "lake-life' vibe in the warm/hot months. It's hard to say which season we like best -- they all have their benefits. We love to sip coffee on the deck in the morning while we watch the deer, birds and squirrels. Barbecuing on the Santa Maria style grill or making s'mores with friends in the evenings on the deck is another favorite. When it's cold outside, we love to read and do puzzles by the wood burning stove or take quiet walks through the oak-wooded community. The kids especially enjoy exploring the beach at the lake, tubing, hanging out at the community pool (March - October) or heading down to the mini-golf course for 18 hand-made holes of mini-golf. There is also a basketball court (basketballs *usually* available) and tetherball at the mini-golf course.

Our cabin is nestled in the oaks in the gated community of Oak Shores at Lake Nacimiento. Oak Shores/Lake Nacimiento is about 45 minutes west of Paso Robles with plenty of options for Central Coast wine-tasting nearby. The community has 2 launch ramps, West Beach (within walking distance of the cabin), a community pool (and toddler pool), ping-pong, foosball (at the cabin and at the clubhouse), air hockey, corn hole, a playground and an 18 -hole mini-golf course. Ditch the car and walk to the lake or load up the kayaks and/or canoe and head down for a paddle.

The upstairs sleeping area is an open loft. It is quite spacious and very easily accommodates a king bed, queen bed and twin daybed with trundle and a half-bathroom. The king bed is on one side of the loft while the queen bed, daybed and half bathroom are on the other side. The two sides are connected by a small hallway. It is an open loft with no doors to the "bedrooms" in the loft. There is another sleeping area below the main floor that is accessed by going out the front door, down a pathway on the side of the house an into another door on the exterior of the house. This sleeping area has a queen bed and a full futon with a twin bunk over it. It also has a full bathroom, TV/DVD player, ping pong table and foosball table. The Oak Shores Home Owners Association is a gated community with gate attendant hours. All guest names and vehicle information (we are only allowed 2 vehicles when we are not present) will need to be added to our guest list in advance and I will need to explain guest policies to you before your arrival.
