This listing is for our lovely second home, a cottage that is also on AirBnb. A well-laid out three-bedroom/two bath lodging, this is perfect for up to six people (Note: HomeExchange will say that this home is appropriate for nine guests but we are setting a limit at six). Meticulously renovated with beautiful wood either cut from our own redwood trees or sourced locally, the cottage has a well-equipped open-plan kitchen with new appliances and is also stocked with eco-conscious products for kitchen and bath; and eco-conscious high quality mattresses and linen for the bedroom. Seasonally, one might see wild onions, berries, pomegranates, olives, and green edibles on our 1.5 acre property that also has a small north side creek that doesn't run dry until late in the summer. This is the main lodging for internationally-renowned classical musicians who visit as guests of our music academy, giving concerts in Anderson Valley to an appreciative local audience and performing volunteer work in our public schools. When not in use for the academy, we enjoy making it available for others.

A generally very quiet residential neighborhood of people who revere nature, our street has horses and cattle grazing on open private meadows as well as a small vineyard. Just a two minute drive to downtown Boonville, the location is perfect for its proximity to award-winning wineries, a stunningly beautiful ocean coastline, giant old growth redwood forests, and ample local spots for fishing, biking, and swimming.

This lodging is not available for events, parties, loud guests, or non-guest visitors who haven't been approved beforehand by us. Absolutely no grilling or smoking is allowed anywhere on the property due to extreme fire danger in our beloved state. Water conservation is a must as we have a small private well. Please also note that while HomeExchange's algorithm sets our home as suitable for up to nine people, we have a limit of six guests to keep down wear-and-tear. The washer/dryer is available only for guests who stay more than 5 nights and who agree to use the grey-water soap provided. We generally prefer to not take exchanges for more than 7 nights but will consider exceptions. While we are dog lovers, we regret that because this lodging is in use by visiting musicians for our academy who may have allergies, we cannot allow pets. Shoes must be removed upon entering the home. We also charge a cleaning fee of $100 which can be done through PayPal or Venmo within 48 hours of finalizing an exchange. If this isn't paid within that time period, we will cancel the exchange. Thank you for understanding.
