Thank you for your interest in our family's coastal vacation home. Due to an overabundance of guest points, we are now only accepting flexible exchanges with other couples who own secondary/vacation homes. St. Claire House is a charming 2 bedroom/2bath home with panoramic white water ocean views to the Point Arena Lighthouse and private beach access. Located in Irish Beach on the beautiful Mendocino Coast of California, the home offers a fully-equipped "galley" kitchen, 2 ensuite bedrooms each with queen beds, a gas fireplace, a panoramic ocean view deck with Weber gas barbecue and umbrella table overlooking the garden, a spa/hot tub, window seats and skylights, along with amenities such as free WiFi, 2 combination TV/DVD players, a stereo CD player, a music and film library. Bedside reading lamps and clock radios with USB ports, feather beds and down comforters with foam or down pillows to provide extra comfort. At St. Clair House you will not find spacious rooms with ultra modern finishes but, rather, the charm of a quaint beach house with all the conveniences! There is also a detached studio/guest house with kitchenette and fireplace available as an add-on to the main house at a small additional cost.

Within a half-hour of the charming village of Mendocino with its quaint shops and excellent restaurants, an easy drive east to the beautiful Anderson Valley wine region or visit the Pt. Arena Lighthouse 4 miles south. The local town of Manchester, 1 mile south, has a country market that sells food, meats, fresh produce and wines. The town of Point Arena has a pharmacy, movie theatre, restaurants, a casino, gas station and bank with ATM. Its a 30-minute drive to the golf course at Little River, or try the Sea Ranch course, a 40-minute drive south along scenic Highway 1. The area offers an abundance of activities such as sea and river kayaking, or horseback riding on adjacent Manchester beach. A feature of your visit will be private access to our spectacular mile long beach!

Aanvullende informatie

For flexibility we prefer exchanges with couple owners of other secondary homes. There is a 3-night minimum. Guests are expected to fully clean the house before their departure. Alternatively, a housecleaner can be arranged for a fee of $80-$100 (based on length of stay). Sheets and towels are available, but will need to be laundered, folded and put away before your departure. There is no broadcast television reception in Irish Beach but we have an extensive DVD collection and streaming is available through the Internet. This is our private vacation home and since we do not live nearby, guests must take responsibility to assure that the home is fully shut down before their departure. We will provide all guests with a departure checklist to assist in that effort.
