Wat je fantastisch zult vinden in dit huis
Our home is built with old growth redwood beams and gorgeous redwood panels, making it really cozy and something to see. 2 Stories, high ceilings, with a landscaped front and backyard. Most pictures were just taken, so most flowers not in bloom in winter. The property is surrounded by 6 ft fence, that's covered with passion flower hedges, so even though you are only a few blocks from downtown it feels as though you in a secret garden. Our yard has an abundance of unique plants, flowers and fruit trees, humming birds sipping nectar, while you sit in the hot tub quietly watching. Glass Beach, downtown Fort Bragg, redwoods, paved ocean bike/walking trails, all with in a few blocks from home. Come enjoy beautiful the Northern California Coast!
De leukste plekjes bij ons in de buurt
We live in the old fishing town of Fort Bragg, it is one of very few fishing harbors on the west coast still going strong. There are fishing charters available for salmon, crabbing, and whale sight seeing. The town also has expanded its coastal walking/biking trails to 15 miles, perfect for all members of the family. About 6 blocks from our hone is the beautiful glass beach where you stick your hand into the sand and come up with smooth tiny pieces of glass that shimmer in the water and sun. We now have 2 breweries within 3 blocks of our home, North Coast Brewery and Over Time Brewery, offering great beer and food. There are many great restaurants within walking distance or a 10 min drive to the picturesque town of Mendocino. There are countless outdoor activities , we have 3 adult bikes, 2 toddler scooters or a push bike available to use on any of the many bike trails on the coast, or the converted old logging trails that wind along different rivers. We also have 1 kayak which we love to take up any of the 3 rivers leading to the ocean. Farmers markets with lovely local products are set up every wed and sat, both are walkable. The Skunk Train is a rustic train that does short rides in and out of redwoods daily. So many community events, like the nations largest salmon bbq, Winesong in the Botanical Gardens, crab cake competition, clam chowder competion, wine tasting, and many more. The Botanical Gardens are absolutely gorgeous, 30+ acres above the ocean cliffs. We are a about an hour and a half very scenic drive through the redwoods, and along the ocean to some of the best small family vineyards in Northern California. There is also a local winery 15 min drive north where you can taste great wines and sit on a bluff over the ocean, look for whales enjoying local cheese. If you like strolling around shopping, the downtown is full of local options for you, including Cowlicks for ice cream! Fort Bragg is a great family friendly, safe place to get away and just relax.
