Are you looking for a home in Croatia for exchange? Welcome to Novi Vinodolski, a town with rich history and cultural tradition, and lovely beaches!
Indigenous stone house full of character that our family enjoys in for quite some time is located in the historic heart of Novi Vinodolski, a picturesque city in the northern part of the Adriatic Sea. It has 64 m² and consists of three floors linked with a staircase. The first (ground) floor is made of a lovely traditional-type but well-equipped kitchen with a dining place, bathroom and toilet – this floor used to be a tavern so it can be quite chilly during summer. The second floor is actually a bedroom with queen size bed (160x200m) and a bunk bed in addition. The third contains one room with two comfortable single beds (90×200) and a tiny bathroom. This floor has a very charming balcony with a lovely view of the sea and neighboring islands, where we enjoy to hang-out over a coffee, beer or glass of wine.
The house is completely renovated, air-conditioned and equipped with all necessary modern technologies (including 30mbt internet) and represents a very charming and functional bond of the traditional and modern at the same time. We have a TV in each room, a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and an excellent coffee machine...
It is a very pleasant place for holidays as it is located nearby the marketplace, supermarket, butcher and fishmonger selling fresh fish and seafood, bars and restaurants. The nearest beach is 300m away.
Please note, although we've listed the house as suitable for children, there are open stairs that might make it unsuitable for very young children.

We fell in love with Novi Vinodolski many years ago when we first went to the beach located in the hundred-year old park, after we climbed up to the church where we enjoyed the stunning view of the sea and nearby islands. We felt attraction to it as it was not a usual Mediterranean city but a charming mixture of different styles and impacts. Just to get an impression, the city centre is found on the hill below which you will find different types of beaches – pebble, gravel and rocky beaches – with crystal clear sea, with sea activities to offer such as water gliding, scuba diving, water scooters, etc. The city is excellent for long walking, for those who enjoy it. During the peak season Novi Vinodolski is quite vivid and a more easy-going and calm place during the months of June and September. Many cultural and entertainment events take place such as concerts, theatre shows, exhibitions, manifestation “Rose of Vinodol”, "Okolo torno" and many other open-air events. Two very picturesque carnivals are organised during summer as well.
There are number of possibilities for excursions to nearby islands (Krk, Rab, Cres, Losinj) and the inland (Plitvice Lakes national park, Northern Velebit national park). It is also worth visiting one of the six neighbouring belvederes with amazing panoramic views of the District of Vinodol, sea and islands.
