Cork was voted the 3rd friendliest city in the world by Condé Nast Traveller in 2015.. https://www.cntraveler.com/stories/2015-02-25/where-to-eat-sleep-and-play-in-cork-ireland Our home is located in a prestigious suburb of Cork, we have a spacious 4 bedroom family home - master bedroom with queen bed (new Tempur mattress) and ensuite bathroom, bedroom 2 with double bed for 2; 3rd bedroom with double bed; 4th bedroom with double bed. can sleep 8 people. Further accommodation for 2 extra people in double Sofabed in the 2nd living room) The house has 2 1/2 bathrooms (master bedroom is ensuite with full bath) , sitting-room, formal dining-room, 2nd living room (informal) We have an architect designed gourmet kitchen/dining/living room extension with cathedral ceiling, Separate utility room and laundry room. Extensive patio & gardens with 1 gas BBQ and 1 Weber Charcoal BBQ as well as extensive range of outdoor furniture and infra-red patio heater. As well as music systems including a large collection of classical and "popular" music , there are 2 tv sets with cable tv. There is also an XBox for computer game enthusiasts. Our home also has full Wifi throughout the house and garden. A south facing balcony upstairs overlooks the private front garden. We can arrange a cleaning service if required. We are also happy to discuss a car exchange -2018 Kia Sportage. We request that any smokers do so outside the house.

The surrounding country is also lush and extraordinarily beautiful, with well known destinations such as Blarney and Kinsale just a short drive from the City. Cork County boasts a magnificent coastline scooped and fretted by the Atlantic into great bays and secret coves, strewn with rocky headlands and long soft golden sands. It is the most popular tourism area in Ireland outside Dublin. Our home is very convenient for great walks, pristine beaches, scenic countryside or for touring west Cork, Kerry and the Lakes of Killarney.. We are within easy reach of many championship golf courses in the area such as Fota & Old Head of Kinsale. Cork is a great base for exploring the south and west of Ireland. West Cork and Kerry are approximately 1 and a half hour west and Galway is 3 hours north-west of Cork. In the opposite direction, Waterford is 1 hour and Wexford is less than 2 hours from Cork. Dublin is an easy 3 hour drive from our home. Cork is the 'gourmet' capital of Ireland with many fine restaurants. The victorian "English Market" in the city centre is an epicurian's delight selling Ireland's finest food. Cork is also a paradise for golfers, sailing enthusiasts and walkers with every amenity on its doorstep. Our home is 15 minutes away from beaches and wonderful scenery. There are many beautiful places to see near our home - the Lee Valley, Kinsale, Cobh, the Famous Blarney Castle where legend says if you kiss the blarney stone you will have the gift of eloquent speech forever! Within one hour's drive from our home are the wonderful mountains, villages and towns of West Cork Below is a link for tourism in Cork and Kerry.
