What you will love about this neighborhood
This stunning house is a traditional New Mexican Territorial Style house. It was custom built in 1998 by a local Spanish builder. The house is a living work of art and one of the most perfectly crafted homes we have ever seen. It is constructed of double adobe walls on three sides and with a lovely southern exposure to maximize the passive solar gain. Adobe is the original “green” building material; the house is pleasantly cool in the summer and warm and cozy in the winter. Some of the adobe bricks and wood are from the land. There is radiant floor heating as well as a central wood stove.
The house sits on 2.5 acres and is completely private – no neighbors in sight. You can hike right out the back door. There are three sets of French doors opening to the patio so there is a lovely indoor/outdoor melding of the space.
The house has two bedrooms plus an office with a very comfortable double futon.
The master bedroom is on the first floor with French doors opening to the patio. It has a queen sized bed and private bathroom with a claw-foot tub.
There is a second charming bedroom upstairs with a queen size bed, as well as a second full bathroom with shower.
There is also an office on the second floor with a very comfortable double futon.
The house is about 2,400 square feet and can sleep six comfortably.
