has described his/her home in
Period semi-detached Victorian house with original ceiling plasterwork. Two upstairs bedrooms (one currently a study/office) and downstairs an elegant sitting room with wood stove, a study, a large modern kitchen and a small private, west-facing garden. In 2021 we extensively renovated the house so it's most comfortable with a brand new, state-of-the-art kitchen equipment. In addition to the main bedroom, we have two rooms used mainly as studies (we're a professional couple) with pull out double divan and a single fold up bed, respectively.
We're located in one of the best neighbourhoods in Dublin - mainly red-brick houses from the 1870's, and are located right beside the Beechwood Luas (rapid transit) stop, so only 15 minutes to the centre of Dublin on a modern light rail tram. This is a modern and quiet transport network giving easy access to theatres, restaurants, etc. Friendly neighbourhood with upmarket deli store 5 mins walk away.
We are a mature professional couple, and my wife teaches at University College Dublin. She will be doing a sabbatical term at University of Florida from early January 2023 till end March 2023, and at University of Wisconsin, Madison from early April to end-June 2023. We are interested in a house exchange at both locations, ideally near the respective Universities. While the house can sleep five, we believe it might better suit a mature couple to enjoy the tranquility of the location, the ultra modern and spacious kitchen looking unto our small, west-facing garden, and the spacious and comfortable Victorian high-ceiling sitting room. Excellent Wi-Fi and state of the art TV. Possibility of a car exchange also - ours is a 2017 Toyota Rav Hybrid automatic in excellent condition.
