Our house, and the street it is in, is almost something unique in the center of Rome... it is a home, and not an apartment, with a patio, three floors and a terrace... every floor is kind of small, 50 square meters, but it's on four floors and all together it's a large house with many rooms and bathrooms and a nice terrace with kitchen and barbecue in the heart of a very popular and easygoing neighborhood, not touristic but central.
Esquilino is one of the seven hills on which Rome was built: full of interesting sites, very close to the archeological area of the Colosseum, very well connected with the metro to every part of the center, it is probably one of the few still authentic neighborhoods in the center, not too touristic, very busy and lively. In particular, the road our house is on is all full of little houses like ours and very very pictoresque.
We have a cat to feed! His name is Gagarin, he is quite old (16 yrs old) but very used to exchanges. We have just moved in this house but with the apartment we had before we have exchanged for years already.
