In the summer, extensive mountain biking, scenic chairlift to mountain top, hike up the mountain, hike to nearby lakes, or circle the alpine meadow on an extensive accessible boardwalk in Strathcona Provincial Park. Immediate access to alpine and cross country skiing, and snowshoeing, in the winter. Off-season rate in effect. CURRENTLY ASKING 3 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY. RATE REDUCTIONS FOR LONGER STAYS, PLEASE ASK. Our place isn’t just for outdoor enthusiasts. It is a gorgeous serene place surrounded by natural beauty where you can rest, reflect, relax, and recuperate! The view from all rooms in the unit means the outside comes in to meet you.

Current GP rate is set for non-ski season; it will be 200 GP/night next ski season but I won’t start booking that until fall 2022. Demand for skiing accommodation is high. I will not book Home Exchange guests for skiing over Christmas/New Years as we do rentals then (email abbmores@yahoo.com for info). Absolutely no pets - have allergies. We are a short drive from the Island highway, and in just 20 min from turning off it you climb from sea level to 1100m. It’s an exciting drive and transformation of the landscape. Proper snow rated tires are mandatory in winter and on either side of it. Expect winter driving conditions from November-April. 30 minutes from Courtenay / Comox, 90minutes from Departure Bay ferry in Nanaimo ferry. 30 min to delightful Cumberland where there’s a gorgeous bakery, cafes, a brewery, and a lovely quaint main street. There are no shops or gas stations up here on the mountain. During summer and winter there’s the Mount Washington resort cafes at Raven Lodge (nordic) and the Alpine Lodge, and a gift store at the Alpine Lodge. So shop for food and drink on your way here!
