What you will love about this home

The newly restored Trullo Ululì is the perfect location for those who want to relax in the nature of the Puglia countryside, while remaining near the lively towns of Valle d'Itria. Sit back to relax in the sound of cicadas, take a stroll through the picturesque historic centres of the area, or explore the wonderful beaches of the Apulian coast. Trullo's are typical peasant stone huts of Apulian tradition. The land within the property is cultivated with olive, almond and fruit trees. The panoramic view enabled by the hilly position includes the sea, in the distance. The trullo has a 3x9m swimming pool, an outdoor shower with hot water and a covered dining area with outdoor kitchen and barbecue. Children can be set free to frolic through the property (1,5 ha) or to play in the playground facing the house. The main house has two connecting bedrooms with no separating door. Here, the main, cone-roofed, bedroom has a queen-size bed and the other bedroom a small double bed, which is suitable for a single person or two small children. In the dependance there is a double bed and toilet facilities. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven and washing machine. In the veranda area there is an outdoor kitchen with sink, portable induction cooktop and barbecue. Cisternino and Ostuni, the free beaches of Pilone and Villanova are all at a 15 min distance. Within a few min car drive you can reach the starting point of the panoramic path that leads to Santuario di San Biagio, a mystical rock church. Still at a few min car drive is the Ciuchino Birichino adventure park, for children and adults.

We do rentals in the summer months (info at http://trulloululi.com) and we are busy picking olives thereafter. To be noted, for the winter months, that we have no radiators, but a fire place and wood stove to heat up the house. Maximum length of stay: 2 weeks.

Trullo Ululì è una residenza rustica, per persone che cercano la pace di un luogo naturale e sanno cogliere lo spirito di un soggiorno in campagna. Qui ci si potrà rilassare tra gli alberi, fare un tuffo in piscina, esplorare la costa incantevole della Puglia sud-orientale o le vivaci cittadine della zona. Il trullo è una tipica costruzione contadina della tradizione pugliese. Nella proprietà il terreno è coltivato a ulivi, mandorli e alberi da frutto. La posizione elevata regala alla casa una vista sulle colline circostanti e, in lontananza, il mare.

A pochi minuti di auto si raggiunge il punto di partenza del sentiero che conduce al santuario di San Biagio, una chiesa rupestre, luogo magico cui si giunge attraverso un percorso panoramico nella macchia mediterranea. A pochi minuti di auto si raggiunge il parco avventura Il Ciuchino Birichino, per bambini e adulti.

La piscina è aperta da giugno a settembre. Da notare, per l'inverno, che non ci sono termosifoni: abbiamo però caminetto e stufa a legna sufficienti a scaldare la casa (abitato principale per un totale di 4 posti letto). Se questa soluzione è di vostro gradimento se ne può parlare! Durata massima del soggiorno: due settimane.
