*** Looking to do shorter, long weekend bookings coming into Autumn and early winter - my calendar is optimised for Thursday through Monday - 4 nights along with the full week of Mid-term in October 2022. Also amenable to a longer period of time - drop me a message***
It's a small, cosy, interesting home with lots of pictures and prints on the wall and loads of books.
I live 15 minutes walk (downhill) to the Atlantic ocean in Strandhill.
There is a dedicated office so if you are here and need to do some work - then that is not a problem. If you have not travelled with your laptop - then I have a spare one here with a guest account and a large external monitor.
The open fire makes the sitting room very cosy at any time of year - woodpile out on the deck in the back garden. There is also a chiminea that you can light up on cooler evenings on the deck if you wish.
The back garden faces out onto the mythical mountain of Knocknarea and is a lovely place to have your morning coffee.
Finally - non smokers only please.
Strandhill is a neat little village with a population of around 1700 but this swells each weekend with an influx of visitors attracted by surfing, hiking, dining or just relaxing.
There is a selection of bars and restaurants from 5mins to 15mins walk away. Sligo town is 8km - and is serviced by a local bus route each hour.
You can easily have day trips other parts of County Sligo as well as Mayo, Leitrim and Donegal.
Strandhill village has a small number of cafes, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance (15 mins max). In the village you call also avail of surfing lessons and seaweed baths.
