Our house used to be a two-family, so there are potentially two separate areas if you're traveling in a group. The main house has: three bedrooms upstairs and a newly-renovated bathroom; an expansive living room, a sunroom/playroom, a dining room, and a large kitchen with island. The kitchen, dining room, and living room are all open concept (we recently took the wall between the kitchen and the dining room down, so that's why you can't tell in the pictures), and there's tons of light coming through the house. The sun room is the perfect place to relax or to play with kids—we have lots of toys and supplies for toddlers and babies.
The back of the house has: a queen-sized pullout couch downstairs and a room upstairs that we can put a queen-sized air mattress in. There is also a newly-renovated full bathroom downstairs.
We have a patio area and fenced in backyard (great for pups and kids!). The fenced in area has a playhouse and slide (added after the picture was taken!), as well as a grill and outdoor seating with umbrella. We also have two bikes you can use on the trail across the road.
Our home is in the perfect location for a small-town getaway. Located on the Collinsville Rails to Trails, walk out the front door directly onto the walking/biking trail that extends for miles in either direction. Walk less than 20 minutes in one direction to reach the small village of Collinsville, with restaurants, pubs, and stores. Walk the other direction for a tree-canopied trail. There's a little brook right across from the house with a small trail down to it. We're also a five-minute walk from the Farmington River for great swimming and tubing. Another 10 minutes brings you to Collinsville Canoe & Kayak for rentals.
