Our home, built in 2019, is located on Ten Mile Point, one of Victoria's exclusive residential areas. The house is a little over 3800 square feet, but mostly on the main floor. It is an open plan house with 12' ceilings and lots of glass to maximize the view to Haro Straight and San Juan Island in Washington State. It has 3 bedrooms, two up and one down, in the walk out lower level. The master bedroom is situated to maximize the views and has an expansive 5 piece (double sinks, walk in shower and soaker tub) en-suite, that provides an oasis in the home. The other two bedrooms both have Queen beds and adjacent bathrooms. There is also a sleeping nook on the lower floor with two big windows and another Queen bed. So the house will comfortably sleep 8 people. The kitchen is amply equipped with: a gas oven and six burner stove top, two drawer dishwashers, built in coffee maker, micro wave and a column fridge freezer. the dining room will seat 10-12. Two gas fireplaces add coziness and comfort. The house is decorated with art and collectibles from our travels. Two televisions, built in speakers in kitchen and dining rook that run off bluetooth make for a nice entertainment package. Or just snuggle up in front of one of two gas fireplaces to enjoy the view and read a good book.


Ten Mile point is a rural oasis in Victoria. It is 15 minutes to the City centre but feels like being in the country. There are numerous coves and bays that provide access to the sea, only a short walk away from our home. Kayaking from these coves is quite doable. Cadboro Bay village is a short car or bike ride ride away or a pleasant 30 minute walk a portion along the beach if desired. The area is a great starting point for bicycling along the sea coast route. A public tennis court is a 5 minute walk away. There are numerous paths and a nice wooded park adjacent to our street for forest bathing. More adventurous is a seacoast pathway taking off from the end of our street.
