My home is an Edwardian Villa in the beautiful, leafy old village of Highgate, just 25 minutes from the centre of London. It's part of a big house with masses of character. Big rooms, high ceilings and a peaceful, countryside feeling to it. This is the perfect place to return to after exploring London - a peaceful haven. On the ground floor, the very spacious main living room has a fireplace and a grand piano. It's a peaceful, elegant room with very hight ceilings. It is triple glazed so very quiet. On the first floor is the lovely old kitchen, living room and dining room - very countryfied. The cooking is done on the Aga. The views from here are beautiful - looking past the tops of the trees, across the city in the distance. You are surrounded by trees and birdsong. But only 25 minutes from the heart of London. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms. One is an attic room where you can sit in bed and watch the birds hopping among the branches outside. The other bedroom is double size - the bed at one end and more of a living room area at the other end, with a sofa. The sofa opens up into a kids bed. This room is calm - and the house is a very peaceful place throughout. Covid rate is low in this area and it is not densely populated. It's quiet here. There is a lovely garden - quite a magical place.

Highgate Village is one of the oldest parts of London and it's full of charm, nooks and crannies. The world famous Highgate Cemetery is five minutes away, the resting place of Karl Marx. Nearby we have more old pubs (1600's) than almost anywhere in the country, so there are lots of great places to eat and drink. It's just a few minutes away from Hampstead Heath and Kenwood House, a with beautiful stately home, (complete with a Rembrant self portrait!) set in beautiful grounds and lovely tea rooms. You can get into the centre of London in 25 minutes - there are two tube stations within ten minutes walk, so you can explore all over London and then come back to this amazing, quiet house. But obviously, the theatres are closed. Museums are open. Sonos music system is in most rooms and there's a huge TV with Sonos sound for when you want to relax and watch a movie.

Sometimes, I have concerts at my house, with up to forty people in the audience! So that should give you an idea of how spacious it is. The grand piano is a special instrument - I am a professional musician. Please ask if you'd like to use it (no children unless they already play please!) as the use of the piano is by arrangement. I'm happy to have pets, depending on what! Pets by arrangement.
