What you will love about this home
Perched on the ridgetop of a charming forested valley, this two bedroom, two bath, ground level, fully furnished townhome feels like a treehouse. Just a quick walk to the Spa Amira, this neighborhood of vacation homes is tucked away in the northern edge of The Homestead of Glen Arbor, high above Lake Michigan. Enjoy scenic forest views from numerous windows, two decks and a screened porch that also expand the living areas. The fully furnished kitchen with green house window, granite counters, and tile flooring is part of the open floor plan. There is a large, built-in electric fireplace with a heater in the living room & leather, queen size sofa bed. Cable television and high speed Wi Fi are provided. This townhome is in excellent condition with attractive décor and furnishings. The two bedrooms are on the lower level and include one queen size, pillow-top bed and two pillow-top twin beds in the 2nd bedroom. There are seasonal views of Lake Michigan and the sound of the waves can be heard in the distance.
Our favorite thing about our vacation home are the many enjoyable activities closeby and the gorgeous scenery. The Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes National Lakeshore with its miles of sandy beaches and towering dunes surrounds our resort. The Lakeshore was recently rated by Good Morning America as the “most beautiful place in the US” to visit. The Leelanau Peninsula on which it is located is known for its cherry orchards, 25 wineries with tasting rooms, historic farms, restaurants specializing in regional foods, small towns, historic light house, and artisan shops. It is a scenic 25-mile drive to Traverse City, the cherry capital of the U.S., located on the Grand Traverse Bay, and a bustling college town of interesting restaurants and artisan shops. In addition to ski hills within the resort, Crystal Mountain with 58 downhill slopes and cross country skiing, is just 30 miles away.
