Our home, built in 2021, is a modern four/five bedroom, three and half bathroom house on the outskirts of Sligo, a lovely town located on the Wild Atlantic Way on the northwest coast of Ireland. The house is located in a new development in a very friendly neighbourhood. It has triple glazed windows and doors and is heated by a high efficiency, A-rated, Air-to-Water heating system with under floor heating on the ground floor and hot water radiator heating on the first and second floors. On the ground floor there is a large, dual aspect sitting room with Sky TV, Netflix and piano, a modern eat-in dual aspect kitchen with French doors leading to the rear garden a utility/laundry room and a guest bathroom off the entrance hall. On the first floor there are two large double bedrooms, one of which is a master en-suite, the second is served by a family bathroom also on this floor is an office/music room with high-speed broadband Internet connection and printer. On the second floor are two more spacious double bedrooms and another family bathroom.

Our home is located within walking distance to the train/bus station and local hotel (10 mins), 20 minutes walk to town centre and Riverfront area (Garavogue River) with an abundance of coffee shops, bars and restaurants. Sligo town centre also has a variety of lovely family owned traditional shops including specialty fishing stores, a number of outdoor clothing and other men’s and lady’s stores, books shops and pharmacies. Sligo https://sligotourism.ie is the inspirational home of William Butler Yeats, a famous Irish author, poet and politician in the early 20th century, a Nobel Prize winner and co-founder of the Abbey Theatre in Dublin. http://lissadellhouse.com/yeats/william-butler-yeats/ Today, Sligo hosts several literary, musical and cultural events and is blessed with an abundance of local musicians who can be found performing in some of the various traditional pubs in the area. With cycle paths from Sligo, Strandhill beach (7Km) is a haven for sea surfing and kayaking and other water sports and outdoor pursuits. On the north side of Sligo bay is the other seaside area of Rosses Point, which is popular for camping, glamping and motor home/caravan parking. Incredibly, Ireland has a quarter of the world’s links courses and three of these are in Sligo – Enniscrone Golf Club, Strandhill Golf Club and County Sligo Golf Club in Rosses Point. Each of these historic links is situated in the most wonderfully scenic location along the Wild Atlantic Way. In terms of scenery, Sligo is second to none with a variety of captivating mountain landscapes, lakes and rivers and all within a short drive are places like Glencar Waterfall, Mullaghmore harbour, Lough Gill, Benbulben (Ireland’s Table Mountain) Sligo is well serviced with frequent rail services to Dublin, bus services both local and intercity and a good local taxi service. Ireland West Airport at Knock (40 Minutes) has regular flights to UK and other European destinations. Amenities available within 5 miles. .• Surfing/Sailing • Kayaking/ Canoeing • Stand up Paddle Boarding • Rugby, Football, Hockey etc. • Golf • Kite Surfing • Swimming • Cycling/Hiking/ Walking/Horse Riding
