What you will love about this home
Our home is in mid-town Cannon Beach (the BEST beach town on the Oregon coast - yea!) and is just a couple blocks walk to the beach or a ten-minute walk to the center of town. It is a super quiet getaway nestled under ancient spruce and alder trees. It comes fully equipped with beach toys and bikes.
The kitchen/living area is home to a large table for family gatherings and is warmed by the pellet stove. Outside is a deck and gas grill under the shade of our ginormous Sitka spruce tree.
We finally did break down and get a small TV, a DVD player, WiFi, and Roku (w/YouTube TV).
Cannon Beach is home to many wonderful art galleries and hosts art, food and wine festivals throughout the year as well as the annual Sandcastle competition. Ecola State Park is only a five-minute drive away at the north end of town and offers, hiking, whale watching and some of Oregon's best surfing.
What you will love about this neighborhood
Our home is located in the quiet midtown area of Cannon Beach. It is just far enough from downtown to avoid the hustle and bustle but close enough to still be able to walk to everything. We are in a mixed neighborhood of friendly full-time residents and vacation homes.
We are just a few-minute walk to Haystack Rock and the beach. Haystack Rock is a Marine Sanctuary and a wonderful place to birdwatch, check out the amazing tide pools, or just take a stroll with the sand between your toes.
Just around the corner we've got great coffee at the Sleepy Monk, beer at the Pelican Brewpub and my favorite, the Cannon Beach Hardware Store and Pub (best burgers in town).
History buffs will enjoy the Cannon Beach History Center located one block away. They have great exhibits on the history of the area and host live music events regularly.
Starting in June, Cannon Beach offers a local Farmer's Market every Tuesday afternoon in, you guessed it, midtown, just a couple blocks from our house.
Three-night minimum for guest point exchanges.
We ask guests to leave the home in the same condition as when they arrived, cleaned and linens laundered. Or, we can hire a local home cleaner for a $120 fee.
