What you will love about this home

Our house is in a mature estate in the busy town of Ballincollig just outside Cork city. We bought it 14 years ago and have done some work on it over the years, we love the solid, bright, modern house it has become. There are 2 double bedrooms, a single bedroom and also a pull out couch. We have fibre broadband, many TV and HD channels & Netflix. The house is in a quiet cul de sac, just 5 minutes walk to Ballincollig where there are Tesco, Lidl, Aldi, Dunnes Stores and Supervalu supermarkets. Our local Cinema, The Reel is also closeby There are many excellent Restaurants within walking distance. Cork City is within a 10 minute drive, Blarney is 15 minutes away and we are on the best side of the city for exploring West Cork and Kerry. Killarney is 1 hour away and West Cork only 30 minutes from Ballincollig

What you will love about this neighborhood

To help keep the kids entertained very close by are Ballincollig Regional Park, the Reel cinema, Ballincollig Library and Rumleys open farm. There is also a zipit forest adventure centre at nearby Farren Woods. BALLINCOLLIG REGIONAL PARK Gunpowder was manufactured on the site that is now a public park from the 18th century to the start of the 20th Century. From here it was transported to Cork City and the Port of Cork for supply to the British Armed Forces worldwide. The Regional Park itself comprises the now defunct Gunpowder Mills complex and the networks of sluices and canals installed in the grounds and used in the manufacturing process still remain today along with most of the original buildings. It measures approximately 134 acres in size and contains 52 structures surviving from the gunpowder manufacturing process. Facilities include vast open Grass areas, soccer and rugby pitches, woodland, playground & Multi Use games areas, there is also a skate park and outdoor fitness equipment (tone-zones). There are marked walking trails that consist of four looped walks, colour-coded according to length, which take place within and around the Regional Park, all walks are multi-access. at Farren Woods

We love our really bright and spacious house that is quiet enough to enjoy a long lie in on a Sunday morning and yet is unbelieveably close to pubs, restaurants, cinema, shops, whatever takes your fancy. You can hop on the bus into the bustling and historic city of Cork and be there in only 15 minutes. We are close to the countryside, some beautiful parks and we are only 20 minutes from the seaside. Our favourite beach is The Dock in stunning Kinsale.
