What you will love about this home
My cabin is small, with a private back yard. Carpeted. Quaint! Has a gas Vermont Castings stove. Cozy! Great coffee shop nearby, Lakeside Lodge at Fremont Lake is a top-notch restaurant. Our town also has a large aquatic center, two lap pools, yoga, etc. Pinedale puts on the historic Rendezvous re-enactment of mountain men during July. We are very eclectic community. We have a top-notch library, lovely trails along Pine Creek. The town is very kid-friendly, with a skate park 1 block away, and a small stocked fishing pond around the corner. No air conditioning needed, it's at 7200 feet.
What you will love about this neighborhood
We are a great alternative to Jackson Hole, where prices are very high. It's small enough that if you loose your kids, they will be fine, they will either be fishing, at the library, skate boarding or at the aquatic center. It's a very safe community. All of the above locations are within a few blocks.
This cabin sits two blocks south of town. In a community of 2,000 people, it does not take long to become a regular. Walk to the Cowboy Bar, Corral Bar, and Stockman's Bar (locally, this is known as the "Barmuda Triangle").
Adjacent to the Triangle you will find two Mexican food restaurants, one Chinese restaurant, a pizza parlor, art galleries, and the Wind River Brew Pub.
The cabin is close enough to hear the action at the rodeo grounds, or the bands that play during the summer in the park. The Cowboy Shop is your place for information on ropings and rodeos (and really nice western wear).
We have miles of walking trails, and the Mountain Man Museum (this is Jim Bridger country) about one mile out of town.
We are part of the Continental Divide trail system, back packing here is incredible, remote, and beautiful. Too many lakes to count. There are numerous outfitters that can guide you.
Pinedale is close enough to Jackson Hole that day trips are easy during the summer. Big horn sheep are almost always seen in Hoback Canyon. Visit Granite Hot Springs for a day, south of Hoback Canyon.
If you like MORE culture, Teton Village hosts incredible music!
Access to Bridger Teton Wilderness, Continental Divide Trail, a true western town, cattle, lots of wildlife
2-3 hours to Yellowstone National Park, 1.5 hours to Jackson Hole, adjacent to the Wind Rive Mtn Range, type locale for alpine glaciation (for rock nerds only). Access to Gannet Peak (Wyoming's highest) and Fremont Peak.
My cabin was built in 1910, now remodeled. New bathroom/kitchen, moose in the yard serve as great pruners.
