What you will love about this home

Our house is located in the Southside of the city. We're lucky that we're very close to the city centre (15 mins walk) but we're also within a short drive of beaches and mountains. Our area is residential, with a playground, library and neighbourhood shop all within a few minutes. Cork is a small city with a vibrant character, and friendly attitude. The city has a very relaxed atmosphere, with lots of good places to eat, drink and people watch. The city has lovely outdoor and indoor food markets, including the famous 'English Market'. Cork city , is also very close to lovely amenities, like Fota Wildlife Park, Ballincollig Regional Park, and Cork City Blackrock to Passage cycle path. Cobh, KInsale and Blarney, are all approximately 25 minutes, away. They make for excellent day trips, to Spike Island, Dock beach and Charles Fort, and to the worldfamous Blarney Stone! We have 2 guinea pigs. They move residence for the Summer, from inside to outside, but they have to be fed twice a day, and clean the little home out once per week. They are happy with their own company if you don’t want to pick them up.. They’re adorable. If you're away during your stay, our neighbours can help to feed them. The house has 3 bedrooms, but there is also a sofa bed in the sitting room which can provide an extra double bed if necessary.

It is close to great pubs, restaurants, cafes and venues. We live close to public swimming pools, parks, playgrounds and walkways. The house is situated in a very quiet & friendly suburb. The location offers easy access to the countryside - from local beaches, to great hiking spots (and our car is available in a house exchange).
