What you will love about this home

Enjoy spectacular views from every room of our large contemporary, completely updated, home and our decks/patios. Our location is the perfect combination of seclusion and easy access to so many activities and attractions. The setting is the Rocky Mountain foothills (alt 6800ft), just off one of Colorado’s most beautiful scenic byways. We are in Perry Park, a private golf club community, Our mountain home sits on a ridge overlooking the valley and extraordinary rock formations rising from the valley floor. Our large deck is the perfect setting to view the rock formations, colorful sunrises, moonrise, sunsets lighting up the rock formations, and stargazing the dark skies. Deer and wild turkeys visit daily; fox, rabbits and and large variety of birds are abundant. In a drive on the back roads past beautiful ranches, you will likely see buffalo, llamas, antelope, alpaca, as well as cattle and horses. Our contemporary home is 4200 sf (390sq meters). It has been totally renovated including an all new kitchen and appliances. Every room opens to the deck and/or terrace. The large open gourmet kitchen, dining, lounge area is a perfect gathering place for friends and family. The living room has floor to 2-story ceiling windows, and a large double sided fireplace. The main level also has a half bath and laundry room with a walk in pantry. The master bedroom upstairs has a king size bed and sitting area overlooking the valley and rock formations, a very large spa-like bathroom with double vanities, a cosmetic table, Japanese soaking tub and oversize rain shower with massage jets. On the main floor is kitchen dining, living area, half-bath,bedroom 2 with a king bed, ensuite 3 pc bathroom with shower; bedroom 3 has a queen bed and ensuite full bathroom with tub and shower. Bedroom 4, on the lower level, has two twin beds and adjacent full bath. The lower level also has a separate living area with a wet bar, dining/game table area, TV lounge area. It opens to another covered terrace with dining table, swing, all overlooking the expansive valley and rock formations. Kitchen and master bath glass walls open 8 feet. All the bedrooms are very private from the living areas. The back deck ( 1000sf /92meters) is partially covered, has lounge furniture, dining for 8 plus bistro dining for 2 and a natural gas grill. The front terrace, facing the mountains to the west, has a firepit table with seating for 4 plus extra chairs for the patio. A long winding driveway and tall pines limit visibility from the street. The back has a steep drop (and so may be unsuitable for young children). The back deck provides views over the tree tops of the forest, the rolling hills and rock outcrops of the valley. We have limited views of the golf course and lake below. Car trips to towns north and south are along a rural scenic byway, but even the interstate drive South to our area has Pikes Peak looming ahead and the Rocky Mountains visible on the West side. We have air conditioning but it is seldom used as the summers are typically mild temperatures and low humidity. Summer nights are cool. Minimum 5 nights for guest point exchange, please, and cleaning fee of $175 upon your departure.

Our neighborhood offers a secluded, quiet getaway and prides itself on the variety of wildlife, such as deer, fox, birds and wild turkeys viewable from any room. The mile walk around our circle provides spectacular views. The landscape and wildlife photos are from our windows and deck. Several dedicated open spaces with hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails are minutes from our home. Restaurants, parks, concert venues and activities for children of all ages are nearby with hundreds more choices only a short drive away along scenic by-ways. World famous Rocky Mountain resorts are only 2 hours away! Summer visits provide a wide range of free outdoor concerts, art and cultural festivals.

Close to museums, national, state and local parks, hiking/biking trails, fishing, golfing, and mountain and river adventures.
