Our home is a beautiful bungalow set on a one acre site on the Wild Atlantic Way. There are three stunning beaches within a 10 km radius, the nearest being 3km away. We are less than 500 metres from a famous fishing river , the Drowes, the estuary of which enters the Atlantic near our home. Our home is situated in a surfing hub , with world famous surfers descending on our sleepy village to catch some of the best waves in the world. All water sports including sailing, windsurfing and diving are possible in the area. We are nestled between Co.Sligo and Co.Donegal with beautiful , historical sites close by e.g Classiebawn Castle in Mullaghmore and W.B Yeats' grave in Drumcliff, both in Co. Sligo. Family entertainment abounds nearby in Bundoran with plenty to keep the kids occupied e.g horse riding , water park , amusements, bowling, pitch and putt etc. The area is well serviced with excellent restaurants serving local and international cuisine. Our home is the perfect base for exploring the rugged, unspoilt beauty of the North West of Ireland.

good_place_description

Our house is located 2.5km from the seaside town of Bundoran in County Donegal and 10km from Mullaghmore in Co.Sligo. Mullaghmore is the tourism mecca of Sligo with famous Royals often visiting , the most notably being Princes Charles last summer. On the western side of Mullaghmore rocky cliffs defy the Atlantic gales while to the East, sheltered from the Atlantic Ocean, lies a golden sandy beach and picturesque stone-built harbour. Over - looking the sleepy , fishing village stands Classiebawn Castle , once the holiday home of Lord Louis Mountbatten , a grand uncle of Prince Charles. Bundoran on the other hand is a world-renowned surfing area and was listed by National Geographic magazine in 2012 as one of the World's Top 20 Surf Towns. It is a very popular seaside resort and is the most southerly town in Donegal.
