What you will love about this home
Our home will offer an oasis for relaxed fun following your exciting, yet exhausting day trips to all the sights our area has to offer, specifically NYC,and the entire NJ coast! Since our exchanges are most often scheduled during the summer months, you will likely enjoy the tranquility of our in-ground swimming pool, expansive patio and grassy areas, lush landscaping, and private fenced property. If children are in your party, there's lots of room to play and our large yard is equipped with a swing set, slide and fully enclosed 13' trampoline. There is an outdoor grill, and outdoor dining for eight. The patio has many comfortable seating areas. Our large private home will accommodate a family of 7 (possibly 8) in 4 bedrooms (and sofa/sleeper in family room). You enter the homes main level, which consists of a custom kitchen; adjacent dining area; and living room with baby grand piano (in case you are inclined to play). The next level up has three bedrooms which share one bathroom with tub/shower in hall. Two bedrooms have a single bed, the third bedroom has a double bed. The top level of home has a master bedroom (king size bed) and a bathroom with tub/shower. Below the main level is the large family room with two sofas (both new in Sept 2014 - one converts to a full size bed), bathroom with toilet/sink (no tub/shower), laundry room with washing machine & dryer, and door to the patio/pool area.
What you will love about this neighborhood
We live in a beautiful suburb of NYC, in lovely Monmouth County, NJ on a safe and quiet tree lined street. Very nice unobtrusive neighbors. Many family members nearby are available if you need/want any information or assistance. Our area has a lot to offer, both for nature loves and culture lovers. We have a very chic downtown, Red Bank (on the banks of the Navesink River), within 5 minutes. Red Bank has many shops/boutiques, fine restaurants, casual bistros, and lots of antique shops. Red Bank is also a very artsy town with many galleries and two Theatres with cultural venues (plays and concerts). Red Bank also has a river front park where you will find outdoor entertainment nightly in the summer. We are within 15 - 20 minutes of miles and miles of white sand beaches. All our beaches are beautiful, but they all have there own personality. I love Avon by the Sea for it's elegant boardwalk and beach overlooking a canal where we watch the parade of boats pass through from the river to the Atlantic Ocean; I love Ocean Grove for it's Victorian Houses & quaint Main Street with it's "old town" feel; I love our giant 24" pizza's in Belmar; I love the natural beauty of Sandy Hook, a sliver of land between the bay and the ocean; and the list goes on and on to Atlantic City and Cape May. Monmouth County is also home to more thoroughbred horses than the state of Kentucky (even though Kentucky hosts the renowned Kentucky Derby). A few minutes from our house and you are in prime horse farm country, in a town aptly named "Colts Neck". It's a beautiful place to take a drive. (Only 1 1/2 hrs to NYC and Philadelphia; 3 to Baltimore; 4 to Washington D.C. This opens opportunity for overnights from my home.)
Our home is very comfortable & spacious, and our yard is even better! A large family would be very comfortable in the house, and would have a great time relaxing in our pretty and private yard with inground pool, volleyball, basketball, trampoline
Our home is in a lovely suburb of NYC; at only 1 1/2 hours (door to city), many in our area make this commute daily (by bus, train, ferry or car)
Our home is a short 20 minute drive to the nearest beach, and there are so many beautiful beach towns to choose from (my favorites are Ocean Grove and Sandy Hook)
