Family home ideally loctaed near County Wicklow and Dublin City Centre


Our house is a short walk to the village, sea (800 metres) and train station (600 metres). Our house is 30 minutes drive or train journey to Dublin City Centre (www.visitdublin.com). We are very close to County Wicklow and its wonderful walks and scenery (visitwicklow.ie). The picturesque towns of Dun Laoghaire, Dalkey, Killiney, Bray and Greystones are all within 20 minutes drive of our house. Killiney Hill less than 10 minutes drive from the house offers a beautiful walk and stunning views of the Dublin and Wicklow coastline. The house is 5 minutes walk to the small village of Shankill with shops,cafes, pub and cafe. Shankill also provides easy access to the beautiful Wicklow countryside where there are a number of gardens, villages, waterfalls and historic houses within 30 minutes drive of Shankill. We recommend visiting the villages of Dalkey, Enniskerry and Dun Laoghaire as well as the magnificent estates of Kilruddery House, Powerscourt and Powerscourt Waterfall. If you wish to explore a bit further, Shankill village is also close to the M50 and M11 motorways which provides easy access to the rest of Ireland. Shanganagh Park is 15 minutes walk from the house, which has lovely paths for walking and cycling, nice views of the coast and a children's playground. Shankill tennis club (www.shankilltennisclub.com) is open to the public and a short walk or cycle from the house. We have bikes available for your use should you require them. 20 minutes by car is the largest shopping centre in Ireland, Dundrum Shopping Centre, complete with a multi cinema, lots of restaurants and a theatre. The nearby towns of Dun Laoghaire and Bray also have many cultural and family events over the summer - http://events.dlrcoco.ie/events.
