What you will love about this home

Our house was built about 1710, and there is a lovely friendly feel, with plenty of rooms to relax in, and a wide terrace that looks out onto a large lawn.The house is furnished with a mix of antiques and comtemporary design. We are ideally placed for trips in to Georgian Bath - five miles away -- a world Heritage City with its splendid Georgian Crescents, the Roman Baths, taking tea in the Pump rooms, visiting the Jane Austen centre and many charming individual shops, galleries and restaurants.We live in a small village with general store, hairdresser and pub within walking distance. There are many pretty walks into the hills from our house.You can also easily visit vibrant Bristol (5 miles away) with the Clifton Suspension Bridge and many waterfront bars, restaurants and museums. Oxford is 1.5 hours drive and trips to beautiful Cotswold country are also possible. There is a fast train from Bath to London Paddington which takes 1.5 hours so a day out in London is also a possible option.

What you will love about this neighborhood

Within walking distance there is a great farm shop which does fine fry-up English breakfasts at the weekend. The meat and veg there are superb. The best pub is ten minutes walk in Swineford - superb gourmet pub food and nice local ales. Five miles away is gorgeous Georgian Bath with a multitude of shops, bars and restaurants - my favourites are the Marlborough Taven, the Porter and Raymond Blanc. Also there is a lovely Georgian theatre. The train from Bath is 1.5 hours to London - an easy day trip and much more relaxing than driving. Ten minutes drive in the other direction from our house towards Bristol is Longwell Green with a multiscreen cinema, leisure centre and lots of big stores like Marks & Spencers, Boots, Miss Selfridge etc. A further ten minutes drive from here is cultural Bristol with art galleries and attractions like SS Great Britain and Bristol Zoo.

Our house was built in the eighteenth century. We have a lovely garden and plenty of space. We live 5 miles outside Bath in beautiful country.
