What you will love about this home

Our home is a modern, well maintained house in the suburbs on the south side of Dublin, close to the city centre. We live on a cul de sac in a very friendly neighborhood. Downstairs there is a lovely open plan kitchen/dining/living room with high ceilings and velux windows. A floor to ceiling window looks out on the back garden which is like an extension of the room. There is a separate sitting room with a large smart TV and a huge comfortable sofa. Upstairs we have two double bedrooms, one single bedroom, two bathrooms plus a TV room. The front garden has a small lawn and the back garden has a patio and mature trees. We have two adult bikes.

What you will love about this neighborhood

Our house is at the end of a cul de sac in a small friendly estate. There are convenience stores around the corner and a choice of grocery shops, restaurants and pubs nearby. We are well located for exploring Dublin city, the Dublin Mountains and the bay. It is well serviced by public transport (electric tram and bus) and is very close to the motorway system making it easy to make trips to beauty spots outside of Dublin. It takes 25 minutes on the tram to get into Dublin City, the service is very frequent. The nearest tram stop is a short walk from the house. Stepaside and Sandyford villages offer a range of shops, restaurants and pubs within walking distance. A short drive from the house is the renowned Johnnie Foxes pub and restaurant, famous for it's seafood and traditional Irish entertainment. Five minutes down the road and you are in Dundrum Town Centre, Ireland's largest shopping centre which has great shops and a huge variety of restaurants. It also has a cinema and theatre. Nearby seaside towns of Greystones, Howth, Dun Laoghaire and Dalkey offer charming shops, great walks and a plethora of restaurants and pubs. Our house is situated very close to the mountains, in particular the Dublin and Wicklow Mountains. You can walk from our house to the top of the nearest mountain in 45 minutes yet at the same time you can hop in the car and be in the city centre in twenty minutes. The city is rich in history and culture with a wide variety of museums and galleries, most of which are free to the public. It is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city with a huge selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs. During the summer there are lots of excellent festivals and events. You won't be short of things to do in Dublin. Located beside county Wicklow, known as the Garden of Ireland, you will be spoiled for choice when it comes to scenery and activities. Nearby counties of Kildare, Wexford, Laois and Meath offer a wealth of visitor attractions including heritage parks, castles and prehistoric monuments. These are all easy day trips. Further afield you can visit Galway (2 hours), Cork (2.5 hours) or Limerick (2 hours).
