What you will love about this home

My flat is located in the top (fourth) floor of a classical building - with elevator. The flat has a huge hight, it is typical in these classical Budapest buildings. Due to this tallness, you can feel that there are a lot of space in the flat. There are two rooms, one of them is a huge living room including the kitchen and a dining corner. The other room is the bedroom with a huge king size double bed with comfotable matress. The flat can accomodate 4 people, but 2 of them should sleep on the sofa of the living room, which can be transformed to a comfortable double bed. Since the bedroom has the entrance from the living room, only two people can be separated, please consider it when planning your trip A nice big balcony is the secret treasure of the flat, especially from mid-spring until mid-autumn. During this period, the weather is so good that you can use it as a third room. We usually have breakfast there, especially during weekends, but it is also a very good location to have a glass of wine and a good conversation outside in a warm evening. In the bathroom there is a big tub and also a washing machine which can be used if needed. The toilet is in a separate room. The kitchen is equiped with oven, dishwasher machine, microwave oven and all necessary equipments, spices etc. You can also use television and wifi. There is air-conditioning which is very helpful during summer heats.

What you will love about this neighborhood

My home is located in the center of the city, in a disctrict prefered by local people. "Újlipotvaros", the district got its name after a king from the 17th century and has a unique atmosphere, it's a real living area, where you can get a view over the Budapest life. The houses are built in the famous millenium era (around 1900) when Budapest got its present nice look. People who lives here knows and cares each other. There are lot of little nice shops, everybody has a favourite grocery, bakery, etc. My street is close to a main metro and train station, all the same is quiet, since it's a one-way street and public vehicles do not use it. The Danube river flows at the end of the street, it is just five minutes walk from my house. The Margaret Bridge crosses the Danube there leading both to the Buda side of the town and to the Margaret island which is one of the most preferred place for relaxing, doing sports in the city. You can find there huge nice parks with some trees almost 2-300 hundred years old, rose gardens, a little zoo, one of the nicest running track in Europe, an open-air concert place, the ruins of a monastery from the 13th centrury. Between mid-spring and mid-autumn a lot of open-air bars operates there, where you can have a drink with friends during a hot summer evening having a wonderful panorama over the river, the Parliament, etc. If getting in the mood, you can also dance in these bars. We played a lot in the island during my childhood, but I frequently go there also today for running. A lot of important attraction of Budapest can be reached by walk from my flat (e.g. the Parliament, the city park with museums, the city center of Pest side - the Basilica, Andrássy avenue, the Jewish district with ruin pubs etc). But if you prefer to use public transport, you can reach the main metro and tram lines easily. You can also choose to go by boat. I am happy to provide you my recommendation for restaurants worth to visit, a guide to the world-famous Budapest bathes, programs (concerts, theathers etc) which can be interesting for you.
